Before I watch your video to see which watch you selected, I'll just give you my pick. It's the Titanium San Martin SN0111T. My dream/fantasy watch has always been a Rolex Submariner in Titanium. So when I saw this watch, I bought it immediately! I know it isn't a Swiss Made watch like some of the others but it does come with an optional Swiss Made Selita SW200 movement. I've been wearing this watch for a few months now and I absolutely love it!

Okay, I just finished watching your video and I think you did an absolutely fantastic job! As I said before, my pick is the San Martin but if I'm being 100% objective I think your picks are exactly right. The Genault is objectively the best watch of the bunch. For me personally, I'm a no-date fan. I also love the helium escape valve although I realize it's totally pointless. I just love the way it looks and of course the watch being made of Titanium is the number 1 selling point for me. Overall you did a great job with this 5 watch series.

I have the same model but in stainless steel with sword hand. I like the watch but I would love if it was with male end links on the bracelet.

It’s virtually impossible to beat San Martin in the “bang for buck” category, but if I had the money, I would go Ginault all day long also. Thanks for the great comparison!

Having worked for Swatch Group and now for LVMH W&J, I can confirm the exterior build quality, tolerances, cleanliness and finishing on a San Martin handily outclass anything in Swatch Group’s catalog below Omega -Longines included- and even the entirety of the Tag Heuer sport watch catalog. It’s absurd how poorly finished and “defective” watches costing upwards of €3000 are when compared one to one with a €240 San Martin. The bezel play alone on an Aquaracer is worse than that of a vintage Swatch Scuba in plastic.

@@Dirtywesterner Oh zero doubt man. I still feel Tudors and Rolex’s are absolutely “worth” the money. Not the jacked up second hand prices, but their retail prices? Absolutely. I just won’t ever be able to afford one. A Richard Mille on the other hand… So I will stick to Seiko, Orient, and good old AliExpress…

The price difference between 92 points and 94 points,along with titanium, I’d choose San Martin. The big difference in looks appears to be the extra white indices on #94. However, I dislike the sword hands on #94 more than I dislike the Mercedes hands on #92. San Martin #1.

The San Martin is great, especially considering the price. If it had the 5-digit style case, it might have won.

I have the same San Martin but the stainless steel version and I love it. I would love to see a Ginault in person to be able to understand the quality difference. This has been a great video series. It was good to see that Kermit has gone back home to the swamp. 🤭

San Martin does make nice watches. Actually the Kermit imposter is in prison in Aargau Switzerland, he'll probably be there for a while. Thanks for watching!

San Martin is making everyone look bad. They listen to their customers and make the improvements suggested until now there are hardly any more to make. They are branching out to original designs but have yet to nail one, imo. If past is prologue, they will come up with a classic soon. Great video! Subscribed

Wait you have a Invicta in with a Squale, WTF? Is this just for the look of the watch? I hope so cause those two watches are not in the same universe as to build quality, spec, horology, lineage, style, looks, etc. etc. etc.

Give that San Martin some time, and you'll see why it is so cheap. I tried it - and after two years, it was basically junk. I replaced it with a Steinhart and the longevity is spectacular (as is the lume...not sure what was wrong with yours). The Ginault is nice too, but Steinhart for the win at only about $500!

I agree with most of the score but with something I really need to disagree. The dial of Ginaut isn’t 10. The quality is amazing but the text there are horrible. Some nonsense stuff written on it just to look like a Rolex submariner. Kinetic continuous date (WTF🤬) just to look like the “oyster perpetual date”. Submersible Maritime ?? And the last one “precision chronometer” ?? Common, this is ridiculous. It could be better if was only the logo with brand name on top and model name and waterproof text on bottom. On the matter of dials on homage watches less is more. I have the invicta, San Martin and Steinhart. To me San Martin is the best one. Thanks for the videos. I watched all of them and I really enjoy this series of reviews. Good luck with your channel. 🤩👍
@worthwhilewatches4 ай бұрын
You're probably right about the dial. I could've dropped it a point for the text (I did talk about that pretty extensively in the full review), but the truth is, it doesn't bother me in actual use because it's so small. I'm more bothered by bad lume and overall dial proportions. I agree the San Martin is great. If it had the 5-digit style case it might've won.

So true. Very goofy text. Just riduculous. Also no logo on the clasp is pathetic.
@pravinsharma5674 ай бұрын
I agree with you, the San Martin won it in value for $ , in dial as minimum and required text is there and for me the logo on clasp is very important as it looks like factory installed otherwise it seems like some generalized bracelet with clasp has been installed. And I can say that San Martin is regulating there movements as I have 5 different model over 8 months now in SW200 and all are regulated to +-2 sec/day.

Hard to have an affordable Rolex sub comparison and not include a Steeldive and Pagani Design for comparison.
@worthwhilewatches4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I'm just working with what I have in my collection for now. The reason I don't have more Steeldive, Pagani, etc., is most of those brands are emulating the newer Rolex super case, which I don't prefer. If they made 5-digit style cases I'm sure I'd have a few. Thanks for watching!

Agree with the score, but you should deduct 15 points from San Martin for that ugly logo. It was the only thing they had to create themselves and it is hideous. Otherwise, their watches are really high quality.
