the games stack so just throw all your cover athlete cards in your squad and play squad battles, had ten saved up and did all my games in 5 games

I feel like make it snappy does actually work good. I thought matthews wasnt great because i kept taking wrist shots ( stupid i know ) but then i took snap shots and the goalies have been feeling like swiss cheese

Hi Sleeves, thanks for all the great content despite the chaos that has been the first few weeks of launch. I’m a casual player and I didn’t get to play during prerelease so I don’t feel too confident trying to get into Champs because I feel like I’m perpetually behind. Any advice for someone in that situation? I was Div 5 last year (my first NHL game) and I’m trying to improve so I can be a part of the bigger parts of the game. Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!

I’m sick of all the complainers the game has been out a full week for anyone who didn’t get early access and 2 weeks for early access. The best card is an 86 right now. They are literally handing out 82’s, 83’s and 84’s to have your whole team at an 82 overall with minimum effort. People are mad because they aren’t getting the main guys today, but at this rate that Connor Mcdavid could be attainable in season 1 as a no money spent player. I am not grinding terribly hard and can already easily build an X factor captain, and easily have 3-4 of the cover athletes in just one week of semi casual playing I could have my first two lines all 84+. Take that into consideration that is all free.

It’s not about the overalls, it’s about it being so clear the content team doesn’t play the game the way the player base does. The XP path is not rewarding. Yes, it’s possible to get some really solid cards on your team this game!! But for years it’s been at least a gamble to get the elite tier cards in packs from rewards. You can’t argue that the rewards this year are super limited upside

I think this game will be really good in 2-5 months. We have to wait and get used to slower paced evolution of the market and cards. But that makes the game last longer. Also gameplay is one the best in years. Maybe the l2 is too op, but otherwise very good.

I made stammer I needed a new 1st line right handed winger and my centers are all good on the draw and I have mcdavid jack huges cover athlete card so I don't need a left handed winger as I also have larkin on my third line with 90 speed and I already have makar and I don't wanna blow 200k on Nate dog atm so I made stammer for free from momments and objectives

I look at the cover athlete cards from old school games and just pissed off. (Let me start by saying that I am NOT gonna touch this game!) It would've been cool if EA made this an event where you can level up these awesome cards like MSPs. NHL '98 cover star, Peter Forsberg , 85 rated? I would LOVE to have that card be on my squad for the entirety of 25 but nah because in a month or so, it'll be useless! I had that old school Steve Yzerman last year and I enjoyed it a lot, especially the card art. A lot of really amazing players were on the cover of EA NHL games of the past and to just have them being 85 is a crime! THEY deserve to be MSP's not throwaway cards! EA Sports should've done what MLB the Show does with their cards, especially for cover athletes and have a parallel system. That's just me, tho...

For me I put the best overall for my favorite player. I had Bergeron for all my hut team and he was 83 overall pretty much for 4-5 months and it's all good when don't mind loosing

@@alexchandler3756 I actually did something similar to that at the end of 24. I made a squad of players that I liked and also had the best card art and played online with them and it was pretty interesting.

hey sleeves, great video as always! Appreciate all the hard work! I know you always talk about earning rewards however way you want to play, but want to highlight one issue in that it is much harder to win a game in rivals than it is in squad battles. I don’t have a lot of time to grind the game and I get basically fewer rewards playing rivals division 4 than playing squad battles on semipro, which is super disappointing, thought I was done playing SB! that and the fact that they have issued SO MANY Moments paths with decent rewards, but again no XP and time taken away from playing ‘how we want to play the game.’ Like playing HUT because it is fun to build a great team, but man, thought the grind was really going to be less this year. Guess i have to release the desire to chase or do they think they may ever rebalance XP in rivals? I am ok with higher divisions getting more HC points, but older guys like me are only so skilled and aren’t getting to Div 2! lol

I just hope that as people continue to leave this POS game mode, that EA wont make great mid year changes to lure people back. Cant wait to see what 85 BND player I get in my Christmas choice pack. It’s almost like EA knew this was going to happen, like they’re deliberately ruining this mode- is that why the knew to cancel GWC before the game was even released??

This games is terrible. Packs are 2 expensive for what you get. Players are overly priced and it takes too long to complete objectives unless you have alot hours on hand. Going back to NHL 24. This is a greedy money maker for EA.
