The count in the caucus was 11 for Young and 9 against him so there clearly is a divide and the PM knew Yound didn't have the votes because he called off their Constitutional meeting where this would have been solved and could move forward. The PNM's own Constitution REQUIRES that the general PNM constituents decide who will be their leader, not the PM's hand-picked minister of everything failure at everything.

@@kendellassue8713 I see you are not the brightest in your family. The PNM Constitution requires that if a PM is to be nominated a convention is held to determine who that will be. Rowley canceled the convention if you remember. The 11 to 9 came directly from one of the MPs at the caucus held in Tobago in an interview as she came out of that caucus. Now go ask your mommy if it's your bedtime. Now as to the failures if you are that stupid and can't figure that out then please by all means let the adults do the talking.

What does this have to do with UNC supporters? Many PNM people are not happy either. If Dr. Rowley wants to retire that is his right but he cannot just select someone to take his place as PM, PM runs the whole country so everyone should be concerned, if he is selected to be PNM leader that is their business but PM is a different matter, there should have been a vote!
