Hi Another Character, I just purchased Final Draft ( I finally opened the wallet after the mountain of issues I've had with Movie Magic lol) I am trying to format the Act breaks. I was able to "end an Act" but it did not automatically place the next Act number. Do you have to manually place them in? Example : ACT ONE END ACT ONE (DO I press Tab to go the next Act #2) Thanks!

I purchased Final Draft a couple months ago and haven't started yet. During that time I was assuming basic information wasn't in they're interest. The beat board is already set up in those generic tutorials. Finally I can see the ACT BOX being created. I googled such a simple question on how to create it. Nothing! Thanks to you I already started. ♥♥♥

@@anothercharacter Yes.I will learn to let you know as soon as I know how. I have Scrivener and transferred my screenplays. I purchased Final Draft only because it's the mainstream thing to have. I wouldn't have purchased it if I was aware of those fixed video tutorials. And the others make it even more complex. In your case it's direct.

@@anothercharacter an animated screenplay. I pitched the idea to a few of my students and they couldn’t stop laughing. Lol. I figured if I could get overly stressed and busy university students to find the characters in my story funny, then it is worth writing the script.

Thank you for this video. I used before final draft (version 7) but It was a while ago. I like some of the new features like the alternate choice for dialogue that I am thinking of using for have two versions of dialogue, one in English and another in another language.

I have a question. I have Final Draft 12 free trial version and I noticed that the dialogue is kinda long and weird and not like those “normal” formatted screenplay. Do u know any good formatting elements for dialogue (in the paragraph section) ?

Even if you are on the trial it should be the same settings as a paid version. If you want to change the settings you could go to format. @anothercharacter I'm dying here. I have my screenplay ready to be reviewed to an editing company but cut and paste from Word to FinalDraft isn't working. I've spent the last two hours single spacing and deleting lines so it fits the industry standard. Tried to just press tab for each now line, but it isn't work. I've got to be doing something wrong. If this makes sense, Please help

Sorry, I couldn't watch for more than a minute. The sound quality of this is SO bad. Very quiet but boosting it doesn't help. Add in an accent (no offense - we all have accents) and it is just - for me - unwatchable.

I'll look into the sound and see if something happened to it. I do have a great mic so maybe I messed something up. Although I don't think the sound is THAT bad, but I 'll for sure check it out. And regarding the accent - I am who I am. I could do this in my mother tongue but then not that many people would understand. And btw, how many languages do you speak yourself?😛

@@anothercharacter Hey, legit apologize if my comment came across negatively about your accent. I only speak 'American and SO wish I was multilingual. That said, I have a great interest in and a decent ear for accents. I only raised the accent thing because it was a minor contributory factor to the effect of the funky audio. If others think I'm off base on the audio quality, apologies for that too. Again, no insult of any sort intended. If I was frustrated, it was because I was genuinely interested in your content as I struggled to get a grasp on Final Edit. On the plus side, I now count for one view and one comment!
