Final Drive Oil Change on 2013 BMW R1200GS LC

Hello I have two question please 1 witch gear oil is required from BMW exactly. 2 some use 10 w40 as engine oil is that ok since BMW recommendation is 5w40.

Hi Idris, sorry for delay, please see below for the answers to your questions; 1 The oil I use for the final drive is Castrol Syntrax 75W-90. 2 I always go with manufacturer's recommendation of oil, ie for BMW's I use 5W-40. Can I recommend my video on how to changing the engine oil and oil filter as a guide for you.

@@robchisholm72 thanks for your reply I already change the oil almost people use 10w40 motul 7100 as 5 w40 it's not available. is that ok?

@@robchisholm72 I did change transmission oil 75w90 but I do have leak drive side inside swing arm. The previous owner did drill swing arm to make drain in case water go inside now the transmission oil go out from this hole. There is a seal tto replace and do you have any video about. Thanks
