In SRW MX, it has to be unlocked by getting Mazinger Z back. The reason is in the UFO Robo Grendizer Storyline (Won't give it away, but it has to do with a certain someone from Mazinger Z).

first there's the Anti- Gravity Storm to render the target helpless, then the Double Burning Fire to deal some damage AND put the target into position to be smacked by a Shine Spark; Awesome yet very Practical in my opinion.

From what I've heard, at some point in the game you have to choose whether Kouji uses his Mazinger Z or Grendizer helmet. I'm guessing this is the Grendizer one.

Depends on which version of Kaiser your talking about actually SRW Alpha's Clearly had a SCRAMBLE DASHU moment, as did F Finals, and even then, those more like Shin Getter Robo's Wings than a proper Scrander (Which kinda fits the whole Mazinger Z + GETTER RAAAAAAAAAYS thing) OVA Version, not so much. But it can use it as a giant boomerang, which is still pretty cool I guess

Actually its more like Grendizer sucks in an atmospheric environment (its built primarily for space combat) hence the need for the Double Spazer.

Not sure... but according to an artical, Go Nagai does not want Mazinkaiser and Grendizer in the same SRW game no matter what, to avoid a debate on who is the superior unit of the Mazin line (Grendizer counds as a Mazin unit due to it's design, though not built at Earth, maybe it was inspiration or a conicidence?).

The problem is that Grendizer sucks and needs an actual pilot for the Double Spazer, and Kouji got stuck with piloting duty for it in the series/movie.

Definately In alpha the damage ratio system is so f-ed up! all your ememys for the first... 20 or 30 stages are rediculusly weak and you get all the over powered robots at the start!!! but still nothing can compare to the damage of the Final dynamic special, if only he had hot blooded on lol

Mazinger Z is badass incarnate and all, but it feels pretty dead-weighty compared to the 'Atarashii no Getter Robo', Great Mazinger and Grendizer. Meh, probably just me.
