I just went to 6 different Family Dollar stores around Dallas and 2 of them had the Arrow Atv's in stock. I really like it. Looks great with vintage Gi Joes.

Yes, there could be some more of the green dry brushing, but this is why I got my brush and green acrylic (available at Dollar Tree for $2.50) and added the rest easily. Bottom line, though, repaints of figures to give us more variety is not lazy, it is going the extra mile for us that they didn't have to do. Not issuing a repaint and only having the one color option is lazy. When you keep that in perspective, there isn't much to complain about. Also they don't twist our arms to get us to be completists, so they don't necessarily expect us to buy every variation unless we want to, or else the first line would still be available. I don't have a first edition drone or Sgt Steadfast, for instance. On the flip side, the figures are so affordable that I am buying extras of them so that I can make my own variations by doing my own acrylic repaints. I have never come across such an affordable figure line that was worth doing that, which is really amazing.

I was mostly joking and exaggerating about how they released these just because they knew collectors wouldn't be able to resist getting new figures. If the casual fan just wants to get the figures they like the most, hey, more power to them. Me, I get them because I want to feature them, and I don't feel like a showcase is complete without the entire available line(barring insanely pricey "limited edition" versions of figures that can go for hundreds or thousands of dollars.) Still, I was disappointed by just how samey the Venom line was compared to their original incarnations. Heck, the originals felt like they were given an actual paint job. This just felt like they molded the figures in black plastic, then flecked green paint at them. It's why I also hate monochrome variations of Funko Pops or the "ultra-rare" single color characters from blind bags. There's nothing "special edition" about just taking the mold and being even lazier with the color scheme. In my review of the Elite line, I say they're a step above the Venom figures because they actually did change up some of their features(molding Steadfast's arm in translucent plastic, for example.) I even say in a couple other videos that I'd rather the monochrome variants of blind bag figures be the most common, while the nicely-painted and detailed "actual" designs are the 1-in-64-chance sought after versions. But, hey, that's just my opinion. And I do agree that these are great figures to repaint given their creative molds and ease-of-purchase, so if you have the talent to repaint them however you'd like, hey, I salute your creativity.

@@ZC-Infinity This got me started with painting. I needed a push to get started because I always tried to touch up my action figures hair with marker and it never worked well as a kid. Once I see how easy it is to use acrylic, I’m an instant addict doing touch ups and slight modifications with this line. I will be putting up some videos soon.
