Just WHY this isn't the normal boss theme, because this KICKS ASS!

It is. FF1 just has so few "normal" bosses is all so it's insanely rare to hear it :P Weird to imagine nowadays: it would be like playing FF7 where you fight Airbuster, Aps, and Reno, but then every single other boss afterwards is a Jenova form to the point they outnumber said normal bosses.

@@RuruFIN This is one of the many battle themes that I use in a discord text based old school dungeon crawler that I created....funny enough the thing started as a joke...but point is...I can never get enough of this theme...first heard it in FF dawn of souls (GBA) years ago and have never forgotten it...I do wonder what it would have sounded like or if it was even possible to do in the 8 bit NES music....regardless original FF1 for the NES got me into loving gaming music to this very day

I agree !!! ... these are the true 3 Bosses of FF 1 that have background music. the other 5 are Chaos and four fiends ... Original FF1, has only 8 Bosses ...: 3

And yet I've seen RPGs with fewer. Phantasy Star 2 only had four bosses, while also being a longer game. Of course, that's not a bad thing, as it makes the boss battles leave a much bigger impact on the player than just "obligatory final battle in a dungeon."

@@gurvmlk Phantasy Star II's bosses certainly did leave a big impact... If i remember correctly, the boss theme is only used 3 times in that game, beginning with Neifirst

Fr. Such a shame the original versions had such varied themes for locations, but only one battle theme (I think MSX was the same way)! Check out the WonderSwan versions, and it'll give you an idea what they'd sound like in the original games.

@MaxAxil2 Well, I downloaded the OST, and then I searched the part where the theme repeats itself. Then I copied the theme until that point, and pasted it a couple of times, to make it longer.
