Final Fantasy 13: Hurricane (30 Seconds to Mars - This is War Album)

Anime music video (AMV) of the new Final Fantasy XIII (13) video game set to the song "Hurricane" by 30 Seconds to Mars. The video is based around the phrase in the chorus, "tell me would you kill to save a life," and focuses on Snow and Lightning fighting to save Serah from her fate as a L'Cie. This is one my most complex music videos, and took me over a week to make, as I made an extra effort to sync the clips with the strong beat of the song.

8 years later and I still get chills by how well the song fits the video. Some of the perfect moments: 0:38 "No matter how many times that you told me you wanted to leave" as Serah runs away after a fight with her sister. 1:10 "Heartbeat, a heartbeat , I need a heartbeat, a heartbeat" as Serah turns to crystal. 1:30 "Crash, crash, burn, let it all burn" as Hope's mom gets caught in the explosions and falls to her death. 2:09 ""Where is your God? Where is your God? Where is your God?" as Odin, one of the gods appears. 2:32 ""Do you really want? Do you really want me? Do you really want me dead? Or alive to torture for my sins?" as Serah shows to her fiance the stigma that caused her turn to crystal. 3:42 ""You say you're wrong, you're wrong, I'm right, I'm right, you're wrong, we fight" as Lighting and Snow fight over Serah.

Ok, im gonna confess, ive shared this video mutliple times on my fb timeline in the last week. its awesome. its well timed, the fx are amazing, i love the first time Kanye sings the heartbeat choruse and how you enhanced the clips... very well done. Well done! There aren't many AMVs that are this well timed and synced, the effects give a nice touch-nothing to flashy but it draws you in. @rellicproduction Ironically no I've never played it. I downloaded all the cut scenes and watched them straight through like a movie to understand the plot. I'm a strange Final Fantasy fan in that I love the stories and like making music videos of the games, but I don't own a PS3 and I've never really played the games (except playing part of FFX once at a friend's house).

But I love the stories and the visuals of the Final Fantasy games, and I love making music videos of them. So I'll often download the cutscenes and watch them like a movie in order to understand the plot, which actually works really well.

I totally understood what you meant. I was once a fan of the FF series. When this one was about to come out I was like "OMG OMG I HAVE TO CHECK OUT THE TRAILERS IT LOOKS SO GORGEOUS I HOPE IT'S BETTER THAN THE CRAP S.E HAS RELEASED LATELY" and bought it once it hit the shelves. And what do you know, 200% disappointed. If you want a really GOOD turn-based RPG, I can recommend you plenty.

I know the storyline behind 13 and all but I still got this weird impression of Lightning/Snow being a couple with Serah as their daughter and having problems, affecting Serah and Snow's trying to make it seem like it's just the odd fight couples will have every once in awhile. >.> Ack, guess it's a sign that I need to go to bed. yeah, actually theres quite a bit more in the ff franchise than twelve... like x and x-2, x-2 is the actually sequel of x. Now, if your interested in the ff series cuz you think they all have this kinda graphics, i should warn you, the first ff was made like in the 80s or so... 8bit i believe... vii they started using great graphics, but its a ps1 game... viii was better.. then x x-2, xii were on ps2 xi is a mmorpg xiii, this one, its sequel, versus and i think another one, are on the ps3...

You know what other summon from FF2 international that I would like to see come back? Leviathan!! Man, he was awesome! Drowned everyone and call it a day! But one thing that drove me nuts about that game was how you would spend allllll your money on outfitting Rosa or the Dragoon or the summoner, and then they would be kidnapped and then when you got them back, you were back to standard gear. @dumbapple343 Gameinformer and most other review sites always knock JRPG stories anymore - Unless, it's a Western RPG - They don't seem to like it. I don't say this out of hate towards them but, just my belief on it. The review in GI didn't surprise me but, they didn't even understand the first games story so I doubt they would on this. I personally after two playthroughs understood it quite well. If you pay attention and read a little it's not that hard to follow. I have FFX111-2 reserved.

It's much lighter compared to VII and VIII, yet it still has all the elements and evil in characters/situations that FF is known for. It's one of my favorites. You can't get the plot by watching videos or reading. You must play it before passing judgment. Some of the most memorable characters are from FFIX, IMO.
