I'm one of those assholes who actually LIKED the XIII trilogy. Yes, they had problems, and were far from perfect, both in terms of the gameplay and the writing, but overall I still quite liked them and consider them valid entries in the Final Fantasy franchise. I certainly don't mind anyone not liking FFXIII... provided, of course, that they actually gave it a shot and disliked it based on actual experience, rather than simply echoing the numerous crappy reviewers who wrote off the game without properly getting into it or giving it a fair chance. Because of THAT crap, way too many people give the XIII games a bad rap without anything tangible to back those opinions up.

I didn't like Lightning Returns, but I was more than ok with the other two. I just wish the first game was a bit less linear and the lore wasn't as complicated, but that's it.

To be honest, XIII was good and it has a perfect ending. A second part wasn't really needed, including the trilogy which totally ruined XIII and people started to get tired of it which is understandable. The other two games were unneccessary and bad honestly.

Imo this is one of the best FF games, the graphics were peal crispy for its time and still now how everything is so upgraded. I played the old FF series on GBA and this is literally one of the best and fave

Memories of my 2009 me. Hated how they ruined the game with the trilogy. The ending was perfect and it should have stayed so. I still have my PS3 with the game and I have replayed it again to 100%. It's still my second favorite Final Fantasy. Hopefully we get a remaster version of this. The game was ahead of his time, specially the graphics. The battle system will be always my favorite one.

The combat in this game was amazing. I was never a fan of turn-based combat so this was my first Final Fantasy ever. I just loved how fast-paced it was. Only downside was that the game was linear as fuck but other than that no complaints.

It's speculation from my part, but I think they originally tried something like that during production. Or at least something more like LR:ff13. What makes me think this is that some stuff from the combat gameplay seems designed to reflect a more direct gameplay than what the game had, and the early combat concept video shows something more "actiony"... I think they scaled it back when they reworked the game for the 360.

The PC version of the series is finally playable at a decent 60fps and at 4k res too with Nvidia DSR and AMD VSR tech along with a fan made fix, to resolve most of the technical issues. u can check out my guide on steam too and get the game running properly and look as good as it is in this video. At 4k and 60fps the PC port of these games look as if they were indeed remastered.

The hate majorly comes from butthurt nostalgia fans who can't let the past rest cause XIII was completely different. We have seen Square Enix fooled us with XV which is the worst Final Fantasy with unlimited nonsense DLC bullshit, poor written "story", poor and non founding, character developement and shortcut the game itself. At least XIII is fully completed and I purchased a game with a full story in it. Haters just can't accept changes. XIII was amazing. They ruined it sadly with the trilogy which were so bad honestly.

FFXII and FFXIII is completely different gameplay. I would suggest you to play FFXII because it’s open world. FFXIII is mostly tight world and you can explore freely at the end.

@@_QWWQ_ There is no Remastered. This game and XIII-2 was released on Stream(PC) a while ago. This game is shown on a good computer with upscaled 4K visuals. That's all. It's still the exact same game as the PS3/ xbox360 game.

Well, it's kinda both. It is indeed the PC version, but it's modded to have upscaled textures. The non-modded PC version looks exactly like the console version but with support for resolutions other than 720p and 60fps.
