The full game movie processed! I think you'll guys love this game movie, the story is sprawling and epic! As for the game, I think it might be a bit more divisive than people expect. As an action, story oriented game it's fun, but it's pretty damn linear and cutscene heavy. I think fans of more traditional Final Fantasy might not like this entry as much. @@corning1 Nah, not in the way that you have parties in the other Final Fantasy's. You are joined at times by other characters in certain missions, but you never play with them, or upgrade them. They're just there for the story.

@@corning1 Yeah, I got lost once in a 35 hour playthrough, and I was lost for 30 seconds. You can of course do some side missions at your leisure, which would make it a more non-linear experience, but the main story is a straight shot one objective to the next.

It took me 5 days and I'm finally finished. God damn. Enjoyable, still wondering what the hell happened to Leviathan and if they make DLC or a sequel it better be to have Clive come back, reunite with Jill, and see the world he's saved. Or at the very least have Jill birth their kid and make his/her story the DLC. Maybe restore Rosaria. Like it's cool that they finally made a FF protag who canonically gets laid before fighting God, but I dont think I've seen a happily ever after since FFVIII that involved the heroes being together and alive in the end.

I have to say, the NPCs in this game are made on par with the normal characters and the world they inhabit. They look real like denizens and not "added-in" assets. It's a funny thing to mention, but it's been called-out lately in all these bar-lifting games like VII Remake, but XVI was made with care across the board. My hats off.

I do wish the body language and facial expressions had been more consistently spot-on. That was what made the Resident Evil 2 and 4 remakes so amazing to me--the way the facial expressions smoothly and consistently (always) conveyed such subtle emotions from moment to moment. And the body language (shifts of body, hand placements, tilts of head, even placement of feet, etc.) spoke volumes to make each scene SO authentically experienced. If they'd done that here, this game would have been absolutely unreal!

So ofc their body languages and expressions will be real life-like, cuz they literally are copied from real actors! Also RE games have very few characters so it's easy to make use of mo-cap, FF16 has tons of characters so it'd cost several million bucks to mo-cap and dub every character

Ultima and his kind, the Fallen's, goal was to create a new world where the Blight will not attack them again even if magic was constantly used on that world. To create the new world, they created the mother crystals to harvest Valisthea's rich aether and created humanity to find the perfect vessel to use the harvested aether to build their new home. For the mother crystals to operate, Ultima and his kind left their physical forms and transferred their spirits into the mothercrystals' hearts. The dominants and the bearers became champions for Ultima and acted as his enforcers. However, Ultima and his kind's absence to charge the mothercrystals led to humanity becoming more reliant on themselves and their selfish desires grew to the point of starting wars until there were only a few major factions left: Duchy of Rosaria, Holy Empire of Sanbreque, Dhalmekian Republic, Iron Kingdom, and the Kingdom of Waloed. The constant use and reliance on magic allowed the Blight to enter Valisthea and start destroying the land. Following Clive's awakening as Ifrit and the destruction of Drake's Head (Mothercrystal), Ultima awoke. Ultima saw that the mothercrystals managed to harvest enough aether and knows Clive is the Mythos vessel he and his kind were waiting to use. Thus, Ultima allowed Clive to destroy the mothercrystals in order to free his kind who was slumbering while harvesting aether as mothercrystals but were too trapped to be freed. The mothercrystals did not cause the Blight. In other words, Cid's theory was wrong. Humanity's constant reliance on magic caused the Blight. Sometime later, Ultima influenced the Emperor of Sanbreque (Dion's Father) and King Barnabas of Waloed. The manipulations happened after Clive destroyed Drake's Head not before. Manipulating the Emperor of Sanbreque and King Barnabas was easy as both Sanbreque and Waloed worshipped Ultima and the Fallen as gods as seen with the god idols and statues in their capitals and occupied territories. Once Clive took all Eikon's powers, except Leviathan, Ultima tried to possess Clive and later Joshua but failed. Ultima did not abandon humanity. He abandoned them from day one. He only cares about his kind (the Fallen) and a chance to build a better home. If we created robots to be used and later discarded to save humanity, we would do the same even though robots gain sentience and consciousness. That is what Ultima did. Humanity was once Akashic, though not possessed before humans became more human over time. Nevertheless, Ultima and the Fallen failed following Clive's victory. Clive saved Valisthea by using Ultima's Crystal Fortress Origin powers to end magic in his world. Thus, dominants, bearers, and magic gradually ceased to exist. The story of FFXVI is like the Bible's Book of Revelation (The Apocalypse). The story was about God destroying humanity, the devils of Hell, and Earth and God recreating Heaven on Earth. However, this time, the devil (Clive as Ifrit) and humanity overthrew God and ended the Apocalypse. In the end, Clive and Ultima are one and the same. Both tried to defend and save their own kind from disaster. However, Clive saved humanity while Ultima and his species became extinct. I have a theory that Leviathan's dominant saved Clive and Dion. It gives reason as to how Clive ended up on a beach rather than drowning in the sea following a tiring battle. I believe the DLC will cover Leviathan's dominant, Clive (with only one arm after amputating the stoned one), and the rest of the gang traveling to Fallen ruins under the sea, discovering Leviathan's dominant's home as an underwater Atlantis-like city. It will be more intriguing to learn more about Ultima's race, the Fallen, in that possible DLC.

FF7, FF8 and FF15 had the stoic protagonist in a non romantic, non verbal "relationship" driven entirely by the love interest. and even then its completely ruined when Jill gets kidnapped and the most important thing on Clives mind is to do sidequests...forced sidequests....for fucking Mid....(i honestly don't know how they made Cid so great and Mid so god awful)...its not a great way to present the stress and tension of having a loved one kidnapped.

It is hinted Clive lived due to how Joshua wrote the entire story of Final Fantasy and he even included parts that only Clive will know about which we experience through this entire game since FF15 is literally the Final Fantasy by Joshua. Only way for Joshua to include those parts is if Clive lived to tell him those aspects of events. Though due to what happened to Clive's arms, he most likely lived the rest of his life unable to use his arms.

Wow, this was amazing. Others have said it (from skimming the comments), but very well done. You included where characters talked in the field to make sure viewers got every ounce of story, and a bunch of the fights to give the epic clashes while also cutting out some of the longer "chip down healthbar" stuff, resulting in a neat viewing experience. First off, I just want to say that this is amazingly edited. The scenes flow smoothly and everything is consistent and I love it! However, at around 19:16:00 I wish you had included the cutscenes from some of the side quests at this point of the story, which I feel are extremely important, such as the one with Jill giving Clive the flower garland, the one with Torgal who leads Clive back to their old treehouse, the one where Joshua and Clive visits their father's grave, and the one where Gav shows vulnerability in sharing his backstory. I think there's a couple more too. These side quests are almost like main quests just disguised as side quests as they really amplify the tone and emotions for the send off for Origin and the end of it. Regardless, thank you for this wonderful video!

A shame you’ve missed a few good cutscenes here dude. - the Torgal best cutscene along with one of the best for Clive’s development (gotta do Torgal both side-quests to get it) - Joshua and Clive finding closure about their father’s death in Joshua’s side-quest - Dion finds true resolution after speaking with his previous tutor, (which allows him to become Bahamut without going insane) in the Harpocrates last side-quest AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: - The second Jill and Clive kiss in the flower fields near Oriflamme… you won’t be able to understand the ending without that cutscene. This cutscene is unlocked after doing Jill’s last side-quest. The movie is kinda incomplete without these really, they’re more important than some main story cutscenes

Hate the ending. It's FFXV again. Super lazy, Game of Thrones nihilism type issue. Even that end credits scene is stupidly ambiguous in an otherwise straightforward narrative. Did Joshua survive to write the book, did he write the book prior to his apparent death at Origin, is it a Nomura-esque separate dimension where the kids are reincarnations of their former selves? Just really let down after 70 or so hours - worst ending so far (VII-XV, with X-2 and DOC included)

I believe they did the curse only took his left hand in the cutscene the petrification on goes to his wrist then I believe he passed out from exhaustion some have said that at 20:17:23 on the left side that shiny object is a boat because a few seconds before that when Jill is crying on torgal she looked up then sighs with relief then smiles(imo) then she’s not looking at the rising sun but towards the water that’s wat it looks like cuz if it was me I’d be still crying till mocos is running down my face imo what gives it away that Clive does live is that the final fantasy book under Joshua’s name Joshua didn’t make it through the final fight which has the those lines and most likely the reason for the title of the book “final fantasy” I believe Joshua wasn’t revived just got the scar ultima left on him removed cuz both brothers on two separate occasions stated that the phoenix can’t bring back from death, phoenix down in every ff game only saves you from death not bringing you back from it then extra evidence is that Clive wanted to be a writer once the sword isnt needed and based on Clive’s character he would definitely write the book under his brothers name to immortalize him like he did for cid then Jill side quest before the final quest

@@rick_rivas20i think joshua did live since when clive used the phoenix’s flames he also had the power of ultima so that could have allowed him to revive joshua I wish that bahamut could’ve lived and then he’d be a benevolent king that follows somewhat in the footsteps of the rosfields since they were all benevolent rulers who sought to bring joy to the common folk just as much as the nobles so opposite of france pre revolution I find it funny tho how that one society is probably better than any society today because of elwin, joshua, and clive

This playthrough showcases why I've always specifically loved watching cinematic playthroughs from this channel. You're good at the game. Your mastery of the different mechanics and buffs each elemental damage type provides the character and your quick use of restorative items and your combos and just... it feels nice to watch someone good at a video game just sit there and play it. I started watching another gamer play but when I became too invested in the story line I found you guys. Don’t get me wrong I like the epic fights but the side quests were slowing me down to get my Clive fix!!! While I am heart broken now, this was by far the BEST story line I have seen in a long time.
