@@L337playing Denzel was left orphaned by the event's of FFVII first his mother and father were killed cause they lived on the upper plate of sector 7 which Shinra made drop to try and kill Avalanche. Then the old lady he lived with after was killed when Meteor was falling on Midgar at the game's conclusion. Later after wandering the ruins of Midgar Denzel happened to run into Cloud and Cloud took him home(which Cloud and Tifa were living together) and now Cloud and Tifa are Denzel's adopted parents.
