Interesting to note about the Soothing Breeze skill: it will continue to heal even after the battle is already finished, so it's very useful in hard mode to top everyone up without wasting MP

Yeah, it'll do both; and ignore it periodically changing visuals, it's doing both at the same time (Idk if it splits it or does some of both, either would make sense tbh)

Provoke only kicks in when any character HP drops to red, then character with provoke will use it. it saved my butt on more than one occasion on hard mode

The become available through chadley via battle simulator but I think you must complete every side quest to unlock it

I found that my charectors rarely use auto cast when linked with cure. I am early in the game and hope it improves later in the game.

Auto-cast cure can only happen if the character has an ATB bar. It's unlike synergy which is free

@@liamtayler498 hmmm I'm not aware that AIs would utilise ATB on their own, the only one I can think of is Tifa using Unbridled Strength when equipped with the Auto Unique Materia. I think, being early game for you and all, it is more likely that you have used up the ATB for other stuff and noticed the Auto-cure not happening due to the character not gaining ATB back fast enough, that is one of the early game issues

Pray isn't a spell it's an ability so auto ability should work but is it "special" enough I dunno. I haven't tried it

Best tip: Use the enemy's skill material in combination with the material that heals you when doing damage with the ability and nothing in the game will stop you.

The problem with this game is materia growth is ridiculously slow, you literally have to replay the game to gain access to a lot of this stuff I’m 100 hours in and none of my HP plus materia is past level 3. And I’ve been running AP plus on at least 1 most of the time. The game can be very unbalanced

Chapter 1 is a flashback. You keep nothing from that chapter heading into the rest of the game.

I hate that Item Economizer and Item Master even exist in the game. Not because they aren't useful. But because they are rendered completely useless in Hard mode, as well as all of Chadley's simulator or the Gold Saucer battles. So any AP that goes to leveling them up is wasted.

I know items are there, but even going back to og VII I basically ignore their existence. hard mode is my jam.

I do not like the way that they reworked the enemy skill materia. Enemy skill Materia was a piece of material that gave you the enemies skill if you had this material equipped and you happen to be hit by it... In Final Fantasy remake they did this a little similarly but with only four enemy skills that you could obtain.. Fast forward to rebirth and now you just get given a new enemy skill after beating one of Chadleys simulators. It kind of takes away from the materia... and the whole point of grinding the enemies to get them and seeing which enemies would have an enemy skill...it kinda broke it and made it boring... All the enemy skill Materia is now are just extra added abilities you can add to your weapon instead of the usual abilities that come with your weapon... And quite honestly the only really decent one is the Plasma Blast thing which they could have just made a sword skill for you to learn from cloud directly since I've never seen anybody attach an enemy skill Materia on anybody other than cloud ever...

It's really good on Yuffie too. If you are dodging attacks with brumal form and blindside, then she builds ATB really fast. Like, to the point it's going off so much, you will start to drop frames.

@stsscodok9889 oh I know I have her with elemental Materia that gives her both lightning and wind and she's also got that enemy skill materia and there's sometimes that she goes so fast I can't even see her because all you see is flashes on the screen and damage counts flying around all over the place she is so OP in this game it's not even funny. I can only imagine the Synergy combos that her and cat sith will be able to pull off

There's not much grinding in this game, I got to level 70 about 30 minutes after completing the game. Saying that you NEED to be level 70 for hard mode.
