FFVII's remake has so much of XV's DNA in it. I bet a lot of Nomura's ideas from Versus XIII and his version of XV made it into the game. The game looks like so much fun to play. Midgar is surprisingly linear but it may be to it's benefit. Hopefully in Part 2 the world opens up. Exploring the big open world of Gaia is what I look forward to in the next part.

It's supposed to be released in April next year, it'll be a perfect time, as new consoles typically struggle with the content right after the release. Been a long time since playing the original. Wow, what an intro. Must've taken quite a while to do all this. Love the city shown in day, then the danger throughout the action. Jessie really is something. :) Great stuff w/the town- enjoyed your reputation going up. Also, all the dialogue, including those extra bits from so many people. Pretty sure that's what their aim is, destroying the panel to stop the reactor from sucking mako up. But it ain't get enough fire power and only destroyed the pipe, LoL. So shinra helping by destroying it fully, for the sake of something.

This was altered from the original game to make Shinra more of the bad guy. In the original, Avalanche blew it up just fine. They don't want Avalanche to have the conflicting stance as they did in the original story.

That's the way I remember it but it's been years since I played the original. I remember the bomb going off and the whole place blowing and no indication that Shinra did anything to help Avalanche destroy the reactor for a frame up later on. I also remember Tifa and or Barret saying how they regretted their eco terrorist ways at the beginning of the game because a lot of civilians died in that explosion originally.

i don't remember very much of the original to be honest, i was little and with a vocabulary open next to me because i didn't understand anything of english, so every phrase i was searching every single word until i learned it lol, but this remake, i dunno, maybe i find it exaggerated? i remember barrett being very angry but this one.. a bad actor? i dunno. and the combat and side quests seems like a remake of ff15 with a different story, instead of hunt in the praerie you go hunt to save the slums. instead of iggy with "i got a new recipe" you have the guy "i've developed a new materia" meh

This remake good in showing the confusion of Cloud memory, when Zack just die, Cloud only have memory of childhood himself and Zack memory in Nelbelheim

Original Gamer here.... I was liking things (and disregarded the creative liberties being taken) up until they got to the slums and Tifa started taking Cloud on fetch/mini quests. The depression from the nostalgia was hard enough, but now it's unbearable.... D: Why are games these days like this?
