I remember the anticipation I had for this game. FF7 was my first and it was truly epic, so when I got magazines and saw images for this game, I was ecstatic. I paid subscriptions and cut out every image and description. They got me hook line and sinker. At 38 years old I don’t care, I am still on board. Their games are phenomenal and deserve all the praise they receive. They found a great equation and played their cards just right. The right amount of drama, adventure, love interest, comic relief and goofiness. From moogles to chocobos to tongleberries to even the villains, great design. Well done Square. FF7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, & 15 were magnificent experiences. I’m certain FF16 will be another classic to add to the collection. Thank you! -Grateful Fan

Excellent work. Thanks for the posting. If I may, I'll pass on an old trick that once I learned it made boss fights, (and really all fights) cake. Run the abilities slot with like HP+20% and HP+40% on Squall. This allows you to leave his health down, but not low, and then he can limit break every attack. You just use minor heals both in and out of combat to keep his health right on the threshold so his health is always displayed as yellow. MONSTER difference. Then you just draw whatever magic you need to fill up on those spells for buffing the slots that are junctioned like vitality and spirit which keep any dmg he takes to a minimum. Very effective. Then once you've got 99X3 of the good spells you don't have to waste time drawing a couple of times each fight to max out. Just kill and go, kill and go. Again though, lots of memories from the GOAT of all FF's.

Haha I used that too. Also, switching GF allows to bring Squall's HP down to critical level to continuously use limit breaks ^^

@@hainguyenhoang1031 um, that's what I was saying. If his HP capacity is 6k, and you keep him at or under 25% health, he limit breaks every attack. Just give him haste and watch him go. Another thing I did was intentionally NOT lvl up characters, only GF's. It's an extremely long and meticulous process where you card everything you can. As few kills as possible. That way you get their card instead of xp for killing them. The GF's still get theirs. Then, when you get the abilities slots for Mag Up, Str Up, Vit Up, and Spr Up, you can farm as a solo and lvl up that way. Every lvl up guarantees permanent increases in all four stats by having all GF's on 1 character, with the 4 slots to have them all active. All the cards allow you to put whatever GF Abilities you want on any GF and literally max every character out in all stats, including Speed, and Hit %.

Very cinematic Final Fantasy game. Definitely gets strong opinions either way more than any title in the franchise. It was different. I have always found it to be compelling. It's held up well especially for being a game of it's time with it's cinematic CD-ROM presentation. I'm extremely picky with JRPG's. This game is a really special and timeless.

Few things: You fought Diablos in Disc 2. You kept card rules Basic. No side quests or side GFs acquired. You beat Seifer end of Disc 3 minus 2 special GFs. Overall pretty chill video. I like it :)

Final fantasy VIII is either a time loop story or a death lullaby story. Depending on whether squall made it through the assassination on disc one or not. The whole story direction start to go very wonky from the prison stage onward all the way til the finale.
