Having replayed this game recently, this is still by far one of the songs I love most from this game. I can feel Freya's distraught over both losing Fratley and seeing Burmecia in shambles.

Oh man this is good. I love the alternating bass notes: first they are split between the two guitars, then Sam takes over the alternating notes while Steve moves up to a higher/different finger picking pattern. Very nicely arranged! Also the palm-muting at the end sounds very good :) Fantastic job guys!

I had this song as my ringtone for years. Every time my phone rang it just made me feel... Comfortable i guess is a good word for it. This game just reminds me of my childhood and my mom that has since passed away. Nostalgia associated with music can be so powerful.

You guys are awesome! I love how the Uematsu melodies always remind me of exactly where I was when I played the game. I remember the first time I picked up FFIX and to this day, it's one of my favorites. I think that's why I prefer the classic FF's, those tunes take you back to a place in time. When i was a child i dont understand how much Freya suffer, her villages was destroyed back to back, first the massacre in Burmecia and after the destruction of Cleyra, i did dont understand why Freya was on knees after was transported in the airship with the group; i was just a kid... Now... If was me i would jump from the airship in that moment after losing everything.
