This is one of the most empowering OST's In the FF series easily

This game had so many memorable moments and characters, where else do you fight an emperor in a castle inside a cyclone ? Makes me wish they remade this game in 3D, but with an action focus and emphasis on using multiple weapons and with NPC companions with the FF12 Gambit System.
@r8_the_moo6 жыл бұрын
@@KaiserAfini I wish that some of the tracks get scrapped like the Imperial Army theme as well as polishing the Stat system in the game. The level design should be redone from scratch and the side characters shouldn't be more interesting than the main cast and the characters overall need a bit more depth to them. I honestly can't see something like this happening, but it sure is nice to dream, isn't it?
@KaiserAfini6 жыл бұрын
@@r8_the_moo I've seen worse, remember that the first Final Fantasy pretty much defined the JRPG genre, this was their second attempt ever. Plus they had to work under the tech limits of the Famicom, an 8 bit console. All things considered, they did a decent job. The stat system was highly experimental, it looks good on paper, but the end result is not that satisfying. Even so, the game had its moments. I suggest checking out either the GBA or PSP versions, they are the best versions, with an extra campaign for all the characters who died in the main story.
@r8_the_moo6 жыл бұрын
@@KaiserAfini I did and my criticism referred to the GBA version. I didn't touch the NES version at all, since I already knew that the game had severe problems. I do admit that the game had its moments but because there was little to say about the main cast because they could leave the impression that any of their decisions in the game had very little purpose for themselves as they were just orders. And my comment was referring to how a remake of this game should look like, if that ever happened, which I think it won't. The game clearly doesn't stand the test of time, even the PSP version doesn't in my opinion.

The mechanics are so overhated and exaggerated. I'm not finished with it yet (playing the pixel remaster veraion) but it's seriously not nearly as bad as I kept hearing for all these years. Building characters certain ways has been fun so far.
@arthurnewton11252 жыл бұрын
@@yams7355 I don't know, the two things that made me hate the game, being magic (Ultima and Life are the worst spells in the game) and the dungeon design, never got changed, so I feel my complaints still stand. I haven't played the Pixel Remaster yet, so I gotta ask: can you still break the game's damage scaling by fighting unarmed?
@yams73552 жыл бұрын

@arthurnewton1125 I'd disagree, sure the dungeons suck in some aspects, but the games spells are overpowered. Firion is my white mage, and he's the goat to say the least, the Teleport spell, when grinded and leveled up, practically acts as an instakill. Also the story isn't half bad at all. This game deserves a lot more respect.

The major reason why was because it was the first final fantasy game they made after the first one so they were trying new things they were still experimenting with what they wanted
