Final Battle for Final Fantasy IV Advance. lvl 99, all parts of the bonus dungeon have been beaten. I also chose to go with the classic characters.

Cid, Edward, Yang, Palom, and Porom are revived at the Battle of the Babel Giant in the GBA version, so I swapped out Kain and Edge for Palom and Porom because I prefer magic-users.

My point exactly. Whether or not you know exactly where hi-potions are in your inventory list so you can select them quickly shouldn't affect how well you can play the game. That's just memorization and finger agility. don't get me wrong though, FFIV and FFVIII are two of my favorites

hoboof97. You must complete Kain's trial in the Lunar ruins. IF you don't already know, the lunar ruins is the secret dungeon that you unlock after beating the game. The item that gives Kain Double Jump is the Dragoon Gloves.

In the snes version when he got to a certain point of damage he gets a full health restore. You would know when that happened when his pattern of attacks and spells changed.

Rosa and Rydia can get wiped out pretty easy, so i put them in the back row so they gain the def bonus. They don't use physical attacks so what would the point of having them up front? Kains strong enough as it is.

ABEL'S LANCE PARAMETERS ATTACK=255 did i not already say that? randomly casts tornado too. use silver/gold apples if you're worried about HP.

There are three things in this fight that Edge can throw that will actually do more then his front row attack assuming you didn't get any rare weapons from random encounters. Hellwind Shurikens - You can buy them. 5000-6000 Damage Kitchen Knife - You get that from Yang's wife if you use the frying pan on Yang before he wakes up. 9000-9999 Damage Excalibur - Cecil's second strongest sword that's forged from Adamant. 9000-9999 Damage Almost everything else is useless for throwing.

Quick Physicals can come from a Hasted Cecil. You don't need Kain's regular attack AT ALL! And if you think Kain's defensive is good enough, try a back row Kain against the Demon Wall or Behemoth. Both of them are primarily physical attackers and won't even be able to scratch the plating on Kain's armor leaving his job open for Phoenix Downs when needed.

Man, this fight is SO much more rewarding on the DS! I mean, this guy puts up a hell of a fight! You'll be hard pressed to beat the DS version under lvl 70! I have an Advance file that's about ten levels under this video. Zeromus is still a joke. The only reason Zeromus EG takes twice as long is because he has twice the HP.

Kain must complete his lunar ruins trial to get double jump. But its against a version of bahamut that only uses a 3 second countdown to megaflare and I had no lunar curtains to reflect it. Since the best way for Kain to win that battle besides jumping at the 3 second mark is to reflect its megaflare.

I actually like the turn-based battle systems in FFX and FF Tactics. Knowing the exact ordering of turn and how different actions will affect it makes the game a lot more strategic.

The challenge definitely did NOT remain the same for the GBA advance version of this game, it was much, much easier than even the original SNES US version.

Shell I'd agree with because Back Row has no effect on Magic. But Jump has no effect on back row either and unless you are horribly over leveled, there's no practical use for his standard attack.

Zeromus on the GBA is a total pushover! Man, I fought him on the PS1 (Chronicles) and he whooped my ass. As I recall, he used "Big Bang" a bajillion times more than he did here. Anyway, thanks for showing that version.

You are aware that you can switch the order to "2 fronts" and "3 backs", aren't you? Not that it matters much in this fight since I don't recall Zeromus having any physical attacks. But it surely would have helped you in other fights.

in ger lunar ruins trial she has to esuna the villagers in a town before her time runs out and then u must defeat lunar asura if you get them all you get the ring that changes prayer to miracle! if u dont you get an elixir or something

Rosa LV 55 learns holy at this lv though I don't recommend casting it or meteor. Since it will counter both spells with Torando lowering 1 party members HP to less then 10.

This was a hard boss, I have to admit, and watching the cutscene before it again when I failed was tiresome, but I still think that the final boss of Chrono Trigger was harder. In Chrono Trigger, you have the Dual Tech system, however so does the final boss and its cohorts, and when a boss uses a duel tech or a triple tech, it seems to only deplete 1 component's battle gauge. Also, in Chrono Trigger, you only get three party members at a time, and you don't get to decide whether to group cast a spell or not. Without status ailment protection, all 3 party members will be hit with Chaos. WITH status ailment protection, a FEW of your party members are safe from Chaos. And finally, the final boss is a puzzle. If you don't figure it out, you will die. If you do figure it out, unless you have the patience to grind until your party has maxed out their max HP, it's a hard fight even then, because knowing how the system works won't save you from an asteroid, a massive magical attack, a powerful strike of lightning, and a general punch to the face. And every ending to Chrono Trigger (SNES) requires you to fight this boss. It took me 2 tries to beat Zeromus. It took me 15 to beat the final boss of Chrono Trigger.

Kain has nothing on the IMP DRAGOON from FFVI. The combination of maxed atk, def, mdef is awesome if only at the cost of magic and character-specific abilities.

You mean the American "Final Fantasy II", right? Sorry, but I don't have time for that. I'm near the end of my second playthrough of FFIV DS, and three full games are required to get everything available. If I find myself with, like, a massive amount of free time over the summer or something, maybe I'll try it then. Also, FFIV DS's difficulty has been ridiculously upgraded all around. The Mist Dragon now poses a serious threat of a Game Over! Really!

The suffixes were adapted from the Japanese versions of the game and have been ignored since Final Fantasy 1 for the NES. They started that trend with FF8. (which, funny enough, had the first rather good translation of a FF game...) It's nothing the translators made up, it's actually canon... Unlike the numbers.

I used this party the first time that I fought Zeromus on FF4A: Cecil [F], Rosa[F], Rydia[B], Palom[B], Porom[B]. ([B]=back row; [F]=Front Row; I'm a magic guy.) I modded my characters up to Lvl 99, all magic, all summons, all that jazz. Didn't take me more than five minutes: Thanks to Holy, Flare, and Bahamut. For the most part, I do agree with you. And like I said in another Zeromus thread, this fight doesn't make much diffrence since Zeromus has no physical attacks. But I still think that Kain is preferable to be in the back row in most fights especially if you have an ample supply of Phoenix Downs. Usually, if Rosa drops, you're majorily screwed. But a healthy and well reinforced Kain can bring her back with little problems.

without putting alot of time and with some luck, you should be able to beat him at high 50's, low 60's. i personally remember when i played the SNES version waaaay back in the day i was level 62-67.

Well, Edward and Yang were just basically incapacitated, as well as Cid. I don't feel there was anything wrong with the original final party of the SNES though, not a fan that you need to do crap with Edward to 100% the GBA version.. >.>

kain is fine in the front row at a high lvl of play and i dont literally mean level wise but advanced players dont use jump all the time its better to get a 2-3 quick physicals out of kain then one jump which is w hy the "wait" mode of the game sux and is recommended for amatures hes got great defense as it is why the hell would he go in the back

I have.... Many times. He's easy on the SNES too. Besides, he's even easier on the U.S. SNES version than the GBA version because it was based on Final Fantasy IV's Easy type and NOT Hard type. At least the GBA version is based on the Hard type just like the PS1 version was.

you put him in the back row? he has high HP, is able to equip heavy armor, gets abel's lance, increasing his attack power to 255, and you still put him in the back row? if you're still afraid of getting hurt, then use the spells shell, protect or blink, it's that simple.

Dude you did not steal the dark matter from Zeromus you can use Edge to do it with that he will only do half damage while you do sky rocketing damage
