Remember what Rubicante said in the first fight. When his cloak is up, he absorbs all ice damage, but when he opens his cape, he will be weak to it. The cape is like a shield. Edit: Apparently he does absorb water when the shield is up as well, which is the reason why Leviathan healed him.

I like how Rubicante always heals you before battle, such a nice guy...ALSO THIS FIGHT SUCKS LMAO, I'm just grateful that they don't fight you in a 4v5 battle, THAT would have been actual hell.

Well, unlike the others, Rubicante fights with honor. When he speaks with an opponent, he's at least polite about it.

Probably the reason why all four archfiends were in battlefield one by one instead of all four at once was because one alone's strong enough or each of them's too big to fit.

I can't make it past barbaricia . I don't have bluff , dualcast , sylph and odin . The key is slow then . my party at level 50+ and 60+ but still can't make it . plus I hate leveling . . .

Dont need em. Those are augments for new game plus i think. Just buff and heal the shit out of your teammates, and debuff the shit out of the fiends, and cecil and edge be on attack, rosa heal, buff, and debuff, rydia elemental summon or magic, and fusoya just do whatever, probably heal and buff and debuff.

Hopefully we fight these guys as trial bosses in ff 14 endwalker in patches 6.2 to 6.5.

i died once on this fight. it was pretty easy cause i did it carefully

CPU is way harder than this fight. The only challenge this fight has is the fact that you don't have Kain to stop Barbaricia.
