...god, I got so lucky this battle. It literally came down to the dice roll Kain survived and got off the spider silk. I'm starting to think I'm underleveled, bad

I did this fight VERY wrong. I found the cave after Kain left the party lmao

...this was literally the first little area I found. Managed to beat asura by spamming cura/curaga and throwing a bunch of stuff at her, but the second I fight this guy. Wipes out everyone except Cecil with deluge before finishing him off with a blizzara before I get a CHANCE. Might need to grind a bit more...

Asura was easy compared to Leviathan especially if you used reflect and slow on her. I've had the same issues with this battle except Cecil and Rosa would often be the only two alive. Then after they would survive deluge they'd get wiped out from blizzara too. Though the only way I could win this battle was by luck. The best thing to do if Rosa can get a turn before Leviathan uses blizzara is dualcast slow and curaga while Cecil casts shell. Next turn try to revive your other characters one by one with phoenix downs with Cecil since it's faster, then cast shell/curaga from Rosa. After that use Jump, Ramuh, and shurikens while healing when needed from Rosa/Cecil. It's completely luck based because sometimes your characters will be way too slow to do anything before they'd get killed again. I don't even know how I won because keeping EVERYONE alive for all the exp was the biggest struggle for me.

@@Auroralights321 So uh, few notes: Didn't realize dual cast existed until it was too late (this is my first play through and it's not worth restarting for) so that's not an option anymore Rosa doesn't even live deluge No one gets a turn before he decides to kill everyone but Cecil Might need to grind a bit first...

@@alexanderjun1394 That really sucks. This is my first playthrough as well and if I didn't use a guide I wouldn't have known about it either. Though this battle can still be quite the challenge even with dualcast. Rosa has to at least be able to survive one hit and sometimes she's not fast enough to do anything. I am hoping that the level grinding will help you. I should have done that myself, but I was too lazy to do it lol. Good luck!

At above 61 level party, I wiped out it with Flare spell, jump and regular attacks in 2 mins or else

Well you were overleveled so of course you didn't have much of a challenge. I had to win by luck because I was slightly underleveled and didn't feel like level grinding anymore lol.
