Dagger can hit like a truck taking into account the following:
- Dagger at Level 1. The only way to permanently increase your characters' stats is by leveling up while wearing stat-boosting equipment. Since the total number of level-ups a character can get is limited, the extent to which you can increase their stats is also limited.
We need Dagger with the highest Strength possible, for that we will level her up 98 times with this optimal equipment setup:
⋅ Weapon: 98 Stardust Rod
⋅ Head: 98 Green Beret
⋅ Arms: 89 Power Wrist, 9 N-Kai Armlet
⋅ Body: 96 Robe of Lords, 2 Dark Gear
⋅ Addon: 98 Barette
We are prioritizing Strength and Speed because Rackets take these 2 statistics into consideration.
Rackets Formula:
Base = Atk - Def
Bonus = (Strength + Speed)/2... Rnd MOD [(Strength + Level)/8 + (Strength + Speed)/2]
Damage = Base * Bonus
- Physical Damage Modifiers. When using the Attack Command, your damage can get an increase depending on certain conditions:
[Bonus * 1.5] if using a Killer ability
[Bonus * 1.5] if using MP Attack
[Bonus * 1.5] if you are in Trance
[Bonus * 1.5] if you are under Berserk
[Bonus * 1.5] if the target is Back Attacked (apply if attacking own party)
[Bonus * 1.5] if the target is under Sleep
[Bonus * 1.5] if the target is under Mini
[Bonus * 2] if the hit is a Critical
[Bonus * 1.5] if the target is weak to the element of your weapon
[Bonus * 1.5] if you are wearing an Elem-Atk raising item.
Note: From the list of Physical Damage Modifiers, the damage from Trance and Berserk dont stack together, same happens with Sleep and Mini.
Hades is weak to Holy and Dagger's Tiger Racket & Black Belt are elemental Wind, to take advantage of the 2 elemental multipliers i used Amarant's Curse to add Hades an extra elemental weakness (Wind).
Note: With 50 Spirit you just have a 5.5% chance to land a Critical. Critical Rate Formula: (Spirit / 4 - 1) / 2
- Increase Strength. Eiko's White Magic "Might" increases the targets Strength stat. Lasts for entire duration of battle, even if KO'd and revived. Can be used repeatedly (has no effect once Strength reaches 99).
Might Formula: [(Str * 125) / 100]
Dagger has 79 Strength and we used Might 2 times to max out her Strength in battle.
79 * 1.25 = 98.75
98 * 1.25 = 122.5 (capped at 99)
- Decrease enemy's Defense. Steiner's Armour Break reduces the Defence of one enemy.
It has a 50% Accuracy. Can be used repeatedly to lower the stat even more.
Armour Break Formula: [Def / 2]
Hades has 27 Defense and we used Armour break 6 times (although 5 times were more than enough) so Hades's defense stayed at 0.
Conclusion: Dagger's physical attack deals 9999 damage with 100% chances to hit and 5.5% chances to land a critical strike.
