Don’t forget that on PC, Final Fantasy games are NOTORIOUS for being a stuttering mess. Sure, the fan community fixes it, but if Square can’t deliver a properly functioning product ON THEIR OWN, I won’t pay full price for it.

I got a Nintendo switch and xbox series s. But Sony and Square enix was the reason why I got a Asus rog ally when ff7 and ff16 Did not come out for the Xbox. I said to myself. I'll just play the games whenever they release on PC And if they don't release the games on PC day one, I'm not worried about giving no money any time soon. I'll just play the games. When it discounted at that point.

The release of a big game on all platforms is often celebrated theses days as a big social event on the social media. This can not be replicated anymore if the game is a timed exclusive, and I think that this will also cut in the sales on PC. Plus of course the mentality of PC players mentioned who wait until that game goes on sale for -75% off or the like. It is strange that these simple mechanisms not have lead Square to go multi-platform earlier? One can only guess that the deal with Sony was quite lucrative for them until now.

NIB just missed the point of PlayStation moneyhatting games, it hasn't got anything to do with it selling well on Xbox, it's because PlayStation want to sell more consoles. Also Helldivers 2 wouldn't have survived if it wasn't on PC day and date. Black Myth Wukong 25 million copies worldwide, 3 million on PS5, avoided that one huh NIB.

I completely agree with you. Although the same can be said with any other platform. Look at Death Stranding for instance released on Xbox at £20 because they knew no one would buy it at full price, but if it came out day one people would have gladly paid more for it.

This is the guy who tried arguing with a Dev about black myth Wukong and he just exposed himself as not knowing what he's talking about. The combat system has an Identity crisis, and doesn't know if it wants to be a classic turn based or a real time approach. The first game had garbage pacing with cutscenes every 5 minutes. FFVII was a mid game with performance issues. Without the nostalgia tinting the view of the game, of course it's going to have mediocre sales.

As a pc gamer like myself I will tell you the best advance for pc gaming….patient is key….i will wait on a good sale and discount and it can take months or years but the key is patient and having a backlog to keep you busy on your free time which at my age and like others is only about two hours at most a day

With Sony not doing day-and-date releases and trying to force PC gamers to create Sony accounts, that wasn’t exactly their brightest move. Looks like they’re already backpedaling on those *forced* PSN requirements now. If it’s not day-and-date, then it’s really not worth the wait. Just look at Spider-Man 2 sales on PC-yeah, not looking too great.

Also, remember that playstation bundles their first-party games worth console sales. Plus, most games are bought off of hype, who is hype by a game that couldn't be advertised for 6 months to a year. That game is forgotten on pc.

Have those guys ask themselves about game replayability. PC knows PS games are high quality but very poor on replayability [one and done games]. Best part about the PC people, they are the group full of analytical thinking, due to being bombarded with hardware specs and statistics. PC people know they worth.

Yo, just to add to the wait for the game on PC. PC already missed the hype cycle, so its not going to be spoken about in your friend circle You already waited or 1-2 years, you can wait a few more months while brand new games are releasing like Avowed, Pirate Yakuza, KCD2, Monster Hunter all releasing in a space of a month of each other If you wait a few months, the game is on sale and would hopefully receive multiple patches to fix issues, like FF7 Rebirth shader compilation issues or Spiderman 2 just being a bad port

Sony just released Spider-Man 2 to compete with FFVII Rebirth. Again. They did the same with FF16 vs. GoW Ragnarok. Not sure if they do that intentionally, to make it seems like PC gamers don't buy Final Fantasy, so Square Enix should come back to Papa Sony and accept their little exclusivity deals.
