100% agreed. He's one of the few villains with a real arc. He goes from court jester, to 2nd hand man, to emperor, to god. I can't recall many other RPG villains that actually win! This theme has a solid balance between comical and menacing.

I'm not a big fan of Kefka, the guy sometimes just drops info in front of the protagonists, and he doesn't really have an arc, yeah he progresses in his powers, but he doesn't have an internal change of some sort. I like villains which are just pure evil, but Idk if Kefka is a great exponent of that category

Love it, with one small critique --- the "energy" (for lack of a better term---I'm no musician ;) ) seems to drop off a bit too abruptly at 0:18 through 0:31, maybe because of the repeated notes combined with slow tempo? It feels a bit lethargic. I don't know if that's a helpful observation/opinion or not at this late stage of the game, but wanted to contribute constructive criticism all the same :D

Kefka is awesome and Sephiroth is ok. I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this but I quite liked Kuja and Seymour lol. Ultemica is probably one of the best villains in the franchise, it's just a shame that FF8 as a whole wasn't all that great

it was fine, if anything it had the best limits IMO, magic system waas broken once you could get items tor efine it AND what game lets you get yout ultimate weapon by the end of disc 1 :D
