The timing of your *blind spot* catch is amazing. Seph and Zack at the church steps: sleepwalkers often have their eyes open but are *unaware of things which should be in their field of view*, i.e. black robes. Seph previously appeared *with* black robes, and in that Corki church scene there were no black feathers: it was Jenova. But back to these blind spots...or "sleepyheadedness" as I've called it before. Because there is basically nothing in dream research, I coined a new term. When we recognize we're dreaming, which requires our memory, we become lucid. Thus, *subnebulation* (latin for "under cloud") is unawareness of dreaming due to having fragments of memory: enough to recognize familiar things in dreams, but not enough memories to recognize what doesn't match reality, which would lead us to waking. Our dream persona is thus limited in self-awareness and reasoning as a consequence. Cloud's "It must be the mako" demonstrates that limited reasoning when seeing Seph and the fake fire in Remake, because his memory knows what a mako hallucination is. It also explains how he "forgot" Zack without involving or blaming Jenova. So we've offered a definition for "with clouded eyes" with minimal assumptions. Subnebulation suggests the tendency to go along with the flow (fate) of a dream, even when we normally wouldn't, is caused by separation from (*the real you*) memory: i.e. Cloud listening to Jenovaroth and then attacking Tifa, obeying Seph to chase Aerith for the black materia, all while being unaware Seph is his enemy. Oh I really enjoyed this vid! Never thought of Zack being in a "blindspot" before, but does make sense and even linking it to EC! Never thought of it that way. One thing though, you say soldiers get injected with S-Cells- is that 100% right? I know Genesis, Angeal & Seph had jenova cells since they were all experiments from birth- but isn't the soldier program just bathing them in mako? Because I thought the only exposure to Jenova cells Zack would have had was with Hojo after Niebelheim. Awesome vid! Looking forward to more!

That's a fantastic question! I always assumed all Soldiers do have S-cells inside them, except the ones who have G-cells (which I believe are relatively few). I'm guessing the reason these soldiers degrade into robed men that Jenova/ Sephiroth can so easily implant themselves in is due to bearing the S-cells within them; but it's just a guess. Cloud's going to be doing a lot of remembering and rebuilding in the future. That he also now has the empty hollow white materia (not so empty by the Tiny Bronco scene), I can only wonder what new memories he will manifest in part 3 and how Zack will actually cure Cloud. I have a feeling they told us how Holy works in chapter 14 and what it means for Cloud to receive the empty hollow.

FFVII rebuild?

The fight between Zack and Sephiroth at the reactor wasn't to a standstill. The fight is embellished a bit in Reunion, (because having the fight end in two seconds would be boring for the player) but the fight still ends with Sephiroth almost literally swatting Zack aside like he's an annoying bug. He sends Zack flying out of the reactor, damaging him to the point where he doesn't even have the energy to stand up. Sephiroth meanwhile appears perfectly fine, shows no signs of even being tired, and then just...turns his back to Zack, and walks away, suggesting that he doesn't even feel the need to finish Zack off. It's pretty clear that from Sephiroth's perspective, Zack is nothing. Sephiroth seems to view him as utterly insignificant, someone who isn't worth acknowledging. Zack has strong feelings regarding his history with Sephiroth, but those feelings are pretty one sided.

I'm wondering if all the parts of where we only got cutscenes of Zack each had its own chapter of Zack game play and they cut it out because it would have made Rebirth bigger than 200GB which would not have fit on 2 discs. Just like we know Vincent was in the Temple of the Ancients and very well may have had his own trial. You saw my idea for a Zack DLC, but you never know. Heck, there could actually be Cid content... who knows? They said there were no plans of DLC but it would be a very pleasant surprise if they did. BTW - I have written several fanfics, 3 which takes place in the Remake and Yuffie DLC game which are more like added material. One that gets the most attention is one called A New Future which takes places years after Dirge of Cerebus which features Marlene and Denzel. I actually did one for the First Soldier Mobile Game based on the rando characters in the trailer at the end called The Forgotten Ones. The one I'm working on right now is called A Young Woman and a Dream which is about Cloud's mother and how she met Cloud's father and it of course has Tifa's parents are in it.

Cloud,actually,lives in a state of denial....his mind Is still fragmented,to the point that he says that,often,he doesn't know Who he really Is,and Indeed he's s still living as Zack,not as Cloud...this denial block him to accept many things that happened,even Aerith' s death..There's s a Sephiroth which Is glad about it,and uses for his purpouse all this,but there is a Sephiroth,Who cruelly,brutally,Is continuosly putting Cloud in front of the reality,Because he wants that Cloud become again whole, present,remember ing,like if he's training the puppet to cut the strings and be no more a puppet.....Who knows of Zack will be part of this plan too," not yet" but at the right Moment???Ever Crisis will help us to understand more about it,soon......

Interesting ! Around 3:05 that idea of Sephiroth being "around" as long as Cloud remembers him is more obvious in the French version of the cutscene you played. The first time they meet in Remake. The last line of Sephiroth in French is "Don't you dare to forget me" while the English one, "hold on to that hatred", sounds less direct, more cryptic.
