the thing I hate about the way we talk about synth music is it still sounds like the music of the distant future. "retro" but it was ahead of its time back then and it still is today. This is probably my top favorite song from the FFVII OG ost. Very ominous sounding and anxiety inducing knowing something is around the corner, but calming at the same time, uncovering a mystery that should've been left alone. And you just nailed the original feeling with this 80's synth cover! Amazingly done!

IMHO, this song really captures the feeling of quarantine...and the year 2020 in general, for that matter. The sense of deep unease and foreboding, of not knowing or understanding, the dawning realisation that what’s happening is far out of your control, and suddenly being forced to question the things you’d always taken for granted... :-/ You definitely nailed the atmosphere of the original song, to the point where it practically feels like this is the way it was always intended to sound.
