Eyes On Me, from Final Fantasy VIII Piano Collections. A heart-warming piece I enjoy playing very much.
There are subtle deviations from the original in there. This is only the second take, so I hope I made a good one ;-)

Its crazy how much time has passed since i first played this game. i remember my dad got this for me at a pawnshop we went to and i rushed home and started playing it but didnt have a memory card so i kept having to play through the first part over and over till i finally got one like a week later, but life was so simple. all i cared about back then was simple things, when i could get home to play games again and just hanging with friends and just having fun as a kid. i was 11 back then, im 28 now. bills, responsibilities and real life problems and the diagnosis is a fairly serious medical condition, life has changed so much for me as im sure it has for all of you, but this song brings me back to a great time and place in my life before it all went so wrong, thank you for posting this.

Hearing this on 2019. This song is so nostalgic. Remembering those simple days, playing this game with not so much good graphics, yet, imagining a great graphics and more realistic in mind. And actually, I haven't played VII all the way through, but I'm very familiar with its score. The QUALITY of the games has nothing to do with anything. I've never played VIII either. For all I know, it's a steaming pile of crap, and if it is, that would probably be why its score is so underrated. I think 7, 8 and 10 had the best soundtracks. Never played 9 so I can't voice my opinion on that. Stopped playing ff games after X-2. They just weren't the same anymore. I picked up XV and I enjoyed it but I still have yet to complete it. I did play the shit out of 7, 8 and 10 though.

I remember finding the mp3 to this on bluelaguna around 2003 and I kept it on my mp3 player along with a lot of this guy's other work. In '07 I turned 18 and went homeless, kept this music throughout my adventures so it's really more nostalgic than ever before with FF8 being such a classic.

@foreverinfame It's a Yamaha Clavinova CLP-280. They're kind of expensive though, if you want something that sounds about the same you can get a Yamaha P-155 for less than half the price (I just got one the other day and it's fantastic). The reason it's cheaper is that it doesn't have a big huge cabinet and the built-in speakers aren't as good. But the sound is great, just hook it up to headphones or a better speaker system and you're off to the races. =)

The world will never be at peace. There are lots of global agreements which were created to stop war, but created new conflict instead, such as the Kyoto Treaty which was abandoned after countries started breaking the agreement and causing unneccesary arguments. I was thinking about writing a bunch about the positive stuff in the world. But I think you should look up a bit about how the world has improved. Ye it may seem a bleek or dark place at times, but not so much if you know where to look. At the end of the day bad news are what attracts people's attention. But if you forget about what media may tell you and you look at the world with your own eyes you can see a lot of good deeds. Thing is they don't make it to the news. I may be wrong but I rather see the glass half full. If only warmongers could stop for a sec and appreciate life for what it is...I'd even dare to say if we all focused on helping each other instead of petty rivalries we would've solved from world hunger and to be discovering the deepest secrets of the universe long ago... It is a utopia without a doubt, but I think it is one worth trying to achieve. Although this may just be the ramblings of a drunken fool. Still I think a nice thought...in my humnble opinion.

It's not like I don't give credit to the different composers that have worked on the FF games, but I really feel like Uematsu created music that didn't just serve as a background; it gave each different scene a great purpose, and contributed as much as any character or plot line.
