the final aeon isn't actually dependent on getting the other ones, yunalesca grants the summoner it by turning someone they love/are close to into a fayth. the pilgrimage is literally a ploy by yevon to keep the pretense, and as such only the 'official' ones are needed, aka besaid, kilika, djose, macalania and bevelle. even if there are other aeons available they're not common knowledge, yevon doesn't control them and they are not at all needed to receive the final aeon.

I would also like to add the fact that, in order to access the chamber of the faith in Baaj, you need the destruction sphere in Zanarkand cloister of trials which, tells me that Baaj chamber of faith is only available after doing the trial for the final aeon. But then, how did Seymour get it ? :D

And the way characters breathe underwater is: Pyreflies - It's those things that fly up when you kill a fiend or boss - and when the unsent characters show their memories or display that they're unsent. A couple of years ago, I was blind (still was until recently and sorta still am in a way at least in the one eye - anyway) and when I first became as such, I would listen(try to watch with futility) a KZbinr with the account name dansg08 - his FFX 100% complete walkthrough. He explains this. He doesn't like to "break" the game though which is why I'm interested in watching yours more now - so I can learn ways to bend/break the game haha

Sin is in that water sphere due to his power of gravity, he uses gravity magic most often so I think it's just a design that conveys it's affinity with that element.

The plot hole you mentioned is basically an idea physics includes. Sin uses Demi, Gravitation magic. The center of a black hole is at some point so full of energy and matter, that an event horizon occurs, a state that bends light and compresses it, absorbs it like matter, where all laws of physics are guessed to be not existent/conflicted to the point that nobody knows what happens. So a theory suggest time and space traveling and also dimension traveling. So as souls are also energy in this world they can be sucked into this void and released. Auron, coming from a different time traveled through this and drags Tidus into this void to travel to Yunas time and break the cycle of Sin. And the cart is simply broken on a point that is a weak spot. Like a train would break at the junction when hitting it with enough force. Geos Geyno is actually a pretty malicious monster. Later when you encounter it, it imprisons a character and feeds itself by absorbing life point. It sucks the life out of it. Sooooo many summoners and partymembers don't make it because they die there. And even some Summoners that manage to go there and survive it, have lost at least one member if they encountered it. I suggest not every summoner party encounters it as many medias try to defeat sin as shown in the game, so some might have made it to the Tempel without encountering it, because it is full with not so lucky people that met their fate there earlier.

An additional thing - on the path Tidus walks/runs to the Blitzball sphere arena - if you run/walk straight there without circling, talking to many people, or just standing there doing nothing, the narrator's little "speech" will get cut off. Now in my playthroughs I cut them off because I cut off most dialog when I can as I've heard it a trillion times but just letting y'all know :)

The breathing is partially explained in the interlude video set between x and x2. Effectively, it is explained away as old school diving. In real time, most of the under water battles likely complete in a few minutes, thus making it a 'realistic' Technically, the Baal temple is new. It's fayth is Seymour's mother, thus at most a couple decades old, compared to the centuries old fayth of the main pilgrimage

Anima is actually a "newer" aeon, she was created fairly recently and was supposed to be only for Seymour so I doubt other summoners even knew she existed before Seymour used her in Lucca.

the problem here though is the game itself kills this (plot hole) only Yunalesca can make a fayth as stated in the game (we also know from the 10-3 novel Yuna can also do it because she's a high summoner but we also learn how its done) theres the issue though that these fayth are 1 time uses only, as such we shouldnt be able to get Anima. The fact we can get Anima means its one of the "required" stops for the final Aeon since yunalesca states her self a summoner needs to pray at EVERY fayth to prepare for the final summoning. so since Anima becomes a normal fayth it should also be one of the required ones (to mention the fayth is located in an actual albiet destroyed Temple) They gave Yojimbo's fayth an actual story and how people still went to it as 1 of the 3 "optional aeons" the same with Remimen Temple. only Anima was completely left out causing this plot hole.

I love using the Magic Pots to grind some of the Overdrive Modes. Since it never has a turn, you can just spam defend and easily get a few of them with one battle if you plan it right.

An overpowered play through, level 99 before getting Yuna in FFX-2. Only problem, you have to keep track of your exp, since you don't get any until after you get Yuna. At least it would be somewhat fast, since the enemies run towards you, and Moogle Yuna can heal you indefinitely. Might be fun at some point. Don't think you can save during it though..

I have been able to get 100% as well, but man was it difficult. The worst part imo was grinding for ingredients to modify equipment... especially when you are about to start using the tonberry exp trick to level up.

From what I can remember the game was supposed to be a lot different than what we got. Anyway the fmv were tidus gets sucked into sin is actually Osmose. Sin was to be the ultimate summon of the main antagonist. They just reused

I fully believe that Baaj temple went unused for hundreds of years, given the state it's in when we see it. It also likely lost it's ORIGINAL Fayth sometime in all those years, so it was probably never meant to be a part of the Pilgrimage. Anima is an Aeon that canonically only has existed for a few years since his mother was the Fayth. Yuna and Seymour are literally the only ones that can Summon her.

Baaj temple fayth is Seymour's mother who only became anima to strengthen Seymour and she only done this recently baaj temple is not a required fayth for the final aeon yuna only goes because of the knowledge she gains from Seymour. When he does drop gear, after you return with rikku and wakka, it has no encounters on a weapon. Which is impossible to craft. Also, since Tidus is wearing his blitz uniform, I assumed it was enchanted to let him breath underwater.

I think they kept sin obscured by water to give a more dramatic reveal at operation Mihen, Even when you see him attack Kilika he is still mostly obscured, I think it was along the same lines as Robocop, They slowly revealed more and more of his design through shadows and teasers so peoples first reaction would't be to laugh, I mean once all is said and done the great demon of ff10 is kinda a frog/whale hybrid not exactly what you call nightmare inducing but they got you used to its shape and showed off its power before putting it out there.

the big problem here is the audio levels in FF10 are quite varied, some parts are quiet but some are loud. i will try further adjustments though so you can hear the background audio more clearly though. (start of playthroughs is always a little iffy like this with audio levels)

Spoiler about Baaj temple Anima is created by Seymour from his mothers fayth. The last time the final Aeon was called in Spira was with Braska which is 10 years prior. Assuming that Seymour created Anima within the last 10 years then Anima wouldn't have been a requirement for Braskas pilgrimage and no other summoner wouldve completed the pilgrimage before Yuna or there would be another Calm

Those Chocobos.. I can win the race easily, but the 0.0.0 is apparently only possible with certain balloon layouts. It is headache inducing. Can't wait to see that guide. Hope it works on Switch. At least I have a pro controller now.

wow, that girl at the start who wants the tickets is in nearly none of the walkthroughs. i'm surprised at how much game content is missing in walkthroughs considering there's like 15 guides on gamefaqs. the top guide (Alex) is missing an al bhed primer! i found a guy in kilika who gives out 2 hi potions just for talking to him and i couldn't find anyone else who even mentioned him. i'm looking forward to seeing some other stuff that most players don't know about.

The reason why summoners skip Baaj temple is because Anima is Seymours mother, She's not an official summon for everyone to get so no summoners went to this place. This is also where seymour was exiled to by Lord Jyscal and part of the reason why seymour turned out the way he is.

the problem here though is yunalesca made the fayth (as soon in small cutscenes at zanarkand) which means not only is she technically a final summon her fayth should only work for 1 summoner (seymour) but we can use it meaning why is new fayth needed to be made every time by yunalesca?

okay...to explain the whole "sin brought tidas back" thing. The intro is the Faythe's dream. Sin included. They dream of the day that sin destroyed Zanarakand over and over. So sin didn't send Tidas to the living world, and it didn't do it to Ject either. They were sent by the Fayth. That's why Auron was around. he is dead and is able to join tidus in the dream. Not quite, Sin (jecht) entered the dream and auron brought tidus to sin to be brought back to spira, Auron originally was taken by sin/jecht 10 years prior to zanarkand while jecht still had alot of control over sin. You are correct its the same dream over and over yes and only Jecht was originaly sent by the fayth. Tidus wasnt, thats why bahamut only shows up AFTER sin attacks because they basicly go along with the flow of things. (explained in the ultimania, i've likely done a poor job explaining this so please forgive me and i highly suggest looking up the translated ultimania)

About Blitzball, I think the closest thing we have is Rocket League, sort of?? Anyway, I also thought I would love Quidditch an play it forever, but they never made a really amazing nuanced one. It's very basic. The only cool thing is all the different international teams. And yeah, Tidus in and out with the tides fits the lore more, for sure. Teedus is funny though :^)

So what kind of controller does one use for the boat grind? EDIT: I plan on watching this entire playthrough so I'll do the questions of the day. I'm most excited to see someone knowledgeable play through this to see when and where good grinding spots are instead of it ALL BEING IN THE MONSTER ARENA without telling people how get strong enough to do that lol

any USB controller with a turbo button will work, i personally use a hori pad. I have a link to it in my FF9 video showing how to auto grind if your interested in the exact model

well, its technically done on the PC copy instead of PS4 but not quite a full plat, you would earn every single trophy following this video playthrough except for 1 (but you can do that anyway as its just the remiem temple 5 chest trophy)

The reason you can’t memorize Al Bhed is cuz it isn’t a language, it’s just a cipher. They replace letters with other letters to make it seem like a language but it’s really just coded
