And whenever I wanted to study, I will fire up the PS2 & TV and let the X-2 theme loop at the game start screen. Recently, I got the HD remaster of X & X-2 for the XBOX1X. Not only I get to enjoy the remastered graphics but it is also a trip down to memory lane.

I remember first playing this game in 2003. My son was three at the time. When i turned it on and heard this song...I immediately felt tears in my eyes as I marveled at how incredible beautiful the song is and would look back at my sleeping son. To this day, makes me have a lump in my throat.

I remember the first time I heard this, I was in my room. It was close to midnight and I had the lights off...pitch dark. The only light in the house was coming from my little 32inch Tube TV. I'll never forget the feeling I got listening to this for the first time. Nothing but goosebumps and chills went down my spine. Some years later I got to experience it again in HD, and I knew I had to recreate that same feeling. This time on a Flat Screen with surround sound, yet again surrounded by darkness. I'll never forget the time I spent in Spira, and what I felt through this piece. All those memories and more filled the room, like I was experiencing them again for the first time. Time passes too quickly, and everything we know at some point will become a distant memory. Passing us by like waves of light. But it's nice once and a while to be able to relive them like this, through this tune. It will always be a masterpiece. Something that time can never fade.

The only redeeming thing about X-2, regrettably. It was difficult for me to play through the game, even the combat system was cringy. Seriously, "Dresspheres"? I was so baffled by the first fight I almost lost just cause I was trying to understand what the hell. And I don't know why they had to change the characters so much. Yuna and Rikku just got stripped the f*ck down and made into squealing teenage girls. Just... no.

When I think of PS2, when I hear the PS2 startup sound I always think back to this, EVERY time I started up FFX-2 I listened to this intro in awe. My best memories are about 2007 in the afternoons after school, coming back home with a bottle of coke and a bag of snacks and listening to this while munching and getting ready before moving on in the story. Who here in 2022? Today I still listen to this musical pearl. I remember when coming out of school, my cousin surprised me, gave me this game, I jumped for joy, after playing and finishing FFX countless times, I couldn't wait to try this! FFX is second in my top 10 favorite video games, every time I cry like a baby when I start the X or X-2, I remember when my cousin xi and I played together as kids, good times, with a 32 inch sony trinitron and now in HD on PC! I spent a lot of time on Spira, a game that takes me inside, a game that makes me dream. I remember playing ffx on my ps2. I was 12(2012) at that time and was so close to finishing the game but my game would just hang in that cutscene. I was disappointed and really sad, tried it couple of times but no luck 😢. With no way to finish the game i just watched it on KZbin, It was sad because I didn't get to finish that wonderful game, this sequel really saved me at that time. Sometimes I would skip school and play all day grinding. This piece brings so much memories and emotions. I'd give anything to play ffx and ffx2 for the first time again.
