Lady Luck can also get the job done, but they'll need First Strike from Sprint Shoes or Highroad Winds GG. I can even stun MT with just two Lady Luck.

thanks :) And sure you can. Level means something but its not everything in this game. You can also level up extremely quick in the farplane with Lady Lucks double exp + one person with catnip. Its unreal How fast it is . Best of luck!

just level a tonberry up i havent even done any of the story since im on the ship after first mission first play through other then capture fiends and tourments etc have even beat youth tournament a few times as well and tonberry is easy just level his def and str up put auto protect on him and teach him fireworks/darkness and put it on 1 star he will kill the mega tonberry np in less time then it took for this kid to set his gear up lol

I wonder what the developers of this FF were thinking. Unlike the previous game, raising your stats is not something that is inherent to your characters (except for regular level-ups), things are extremely dependent on accessories. Some of them require the player to snore their way though tedious minigames such as Fiend Hunt in Besaid and Sphere Break in Luca with ridiculous quota requirements (400-500). It makes it quite frustratring to try to beat this game to its core (including hard enemies like this one and other superbosses). Yes, in X we had bosses with millions of HP, but it was not painfully difficult for the characters to hit 99999 damage. As for FFX-2, only after going through painful grinding is when certain things become doable (barely). The unfairness of the game irritates me to no end. By endgame, you find enemies which will not refrain from casting Ultima as their first move. It does 9999 damage almost always. Did I mention that breaking the 9999 hp limit in this game involves some gimmicks such as cycling through the dresspheres? Well, this does take its time. It's a shame that some enemies will hit you with these moves turn one. Mega Tonberry is one such aberration, one-shotting characters with almost maxed out DEF. By the way, there is a boss at the bottom level of Via Infinito immune to every possible negative effect in the game which will nonchalantly cast Big Bang, dealing 99999 damage to everyone and removing positive buffs (so not even Auto-life will save you). The lnternational version is a different story, as it is possible to capture fiends and raise their stats ridiculously, so they can have a fair chance against these unbalanced enemies.

Catnip made it a bit easier in the original release back in 2003. However even then I had to play a plus save to clear out Infinitio. Having two catnips on two gunners was the only way to kill anything. I can't imagine the pain now after they nerfed it.

@@Shatamx They nerf catnip cuz it was too fast in killing stuff. So catnip got nerf so that you have to literally use a Fiend in your party that has crazy stats in order to kill these super bosses. Its easiest way to kill them cuz if you try to do it with main characters, u need to grind a crapton of accessories to give them even a decent chance of winning. FFX2 is way more tedious than FFX due to fact that its grind as shit in doing a lot of various tedious crap to get good items to play... FFX is way more straight forward and doesn't require you to have 10 tabs open with various guides and info to look up on what to do to get your setups/builds for 1 specific enemy.

Getting to level 99 isn’t difficult at all in this game. Additionally, levels don’t mean much at all. Anyone who plays at this level will tell you the same.

What was the accessories to each one of them?? And why is important to have the warriors fully developed...isnt enough to have sentinel?

the accessories they have, I equipped them in the first 4 minutes of the video , sorry it took so long, I put on accessories I felt everyone would have access to. And yeah it's fine if you have just sentinel, It just so happens I had my warrior mastered, it's not mandatory.

Ok thanks... I got lost in the acessories cause you kept changing them... Mega tomberry it´s challenging but i managed to do it finally...Anyways im dying from the 80 cloister forward... it's so hard... i dont know how the heck i will finish the Shinra Bestiary... any advice, that not include farming in the monster creator...??

Yeah hmm. If you have the Lady Luck dressphere with double exp equipped, go to the Farplane Abyss and fight there with your strongest accessories equipped. You'll level up to level 99 in no time at all. When you're in the cloisters themselves, I would bribe Ultima Weapon or Omega Weapon once you got a good amount of money so you can get Ribbons for each character. I've had the luck of bribing ultima weapon for 2 ribbons before. Use those and try to get speed bracers from the lizards as a rare drop in cloisters 80-89 I believe. Those are good accessories that should for the most part, keep you alive. Also bribe for X-Potions and whatnot or have a fully mastered alchemist as your healer. EDIT: Adamantite is an amazing accessory for defense but you get it from the gunners gauntlet . It also slows you down considerably but its fantastic!

Well the Lady Luck deal is nice, but i need to evolve some other dresspheres to, like Mascot... I already have 2 ribbons... i know the trick ;) About the Adamantite...i started using it to kill some medium foes, but eventually i had to stop relyying on him... the atb charges to slowly, Where can i farm X-Potions btw?

Well you can actually get Speed Bracers from the Via Infinito levels 80-89 I believe as a rare drop from lizards , I vaguely remember getting a few from them.

Gh0StsNSeAn I managed to get insanely lucky and not have to face the asshat and instead stomped Shady Duo with darkness spam to unlock Youth League (and then i got my speed bracers farming Oversouled Lacerta) Still can not for the life of me beat Mega Tonberry though, and I'm wondering how the hell I'm going to even beat Trema. Stupid catnip nerf (don't have mascot yet either, Youth League Cup is BS because again just too much damage too quickly - YRP got nerfed so hard in this version)
