There is a alternate route back past the dark aeons I think it's the crystal forest type area that can get you into the back of the cloister of trials.

I'm almost done and stuck with Jecht losing about 10 times (Most of my team are about 3K HP) probably cause I haven't even had a single one of these spheres 😂

literally the worst parts of this game. Some advice for die hard players like myself... 1. upon recruiting kimhari, wait until rikku is present and move kimari's sphere grid into rikku's to gain the ability to steal lv 3 key spheres from the bully ronsos when at mt. gagazet. I got locked out of progressing which prompted me to start over (frustrating) 2. blow through the whole story w/o getting anything and wait until airship is available to revisit all areas to get items (except dodging lightning 200x on the damn t.plains b/c the devs of this game are sick for adding that nonsense)
