For the San d'Orians out there; you can also make a good amount of money buying some bagpipes and playing music in front of the AH in Southern San d'Oria. If someone else is occupying your spot, just team up and make double the cash! The cap of people there seems to be 3, so the 4th person needs to be sent home until someone leaves. Enjoy the gil!

buying things from AH which sell for less than NPCs buy them. There are a variety of crafting mats like this and some spell scrolls. Also buying things from NPCs cheaper than they sell on AH.

Something else I would like to add is rams in Abyssea - La'Theine. They drop A LOT of hides and horns. Can make 100k in half an hour. Great if you just need some quick money but don't have much time.

Play the game and don't go passed the 75 cap. Then have your friends level sync with you, or just use your Trusts. You don't need private servers.

@@RidiPwn They changed way too much about EXP gain and other systems in retail even if I stopped at 75. Getting to 75 is supposed to take many months all while depending on new and regular friends along the way to get you there. For example, I de-level at least once a week now that I'm back in the form FFXI was for the majority of its existence and how it was when it was most populated.

@@Scrotom I was there from the NA launch. So I been through the grind. Before the emphasis was on the grind and if you lucky you make it and some end game shell will take you. Now the emphasis is on end game and not the grind. So now people are enjoying end game and tuning their character as supposed to be stuck in the grind.

@@RidiPwn That's a valid perspective. I'm just someone that originally quit in 2008 so maybe what has become grind to you is now subjectively more like tantalizing progression to me. I don't have a, "been there and done that", jadedness yet. I'm also really loving how many supportive Linkshells there are on Eden right now. One I'm in is run by a handful of FFXI vets that just know everything and seem to love helping returning players keep a steady pace of progression.

@@Scrotom Private servers is a simulation, does not truly reflect the 75 era. Some communities like Reddit don't even allow discussion. I'm very happy with retail and I am glad I came back. Why don't you try it for few months and then compare. I can discuss Rome and how wonderful is, but without actually going there, is not the same. Peace bro

@@rikipedia9745 the overall time consumption to achieve so little. The are all ways to make gil however, the efficiency of the task and time it takes to achieve points etc are a bit misleading. Mind you I didn't listen to the whole video and you may have pointed that out. It is far more efficient to make 2 more accounts and have 3 then spam the aforementioned events however. The reqs will only be required for entry on one account and you can make what you'd make out of EVERYTHING in this guide in a matter of hours. Bs=time sink.

@@rikipedia9745 Easiest way to make gil is make Skeleton Keys. Sheep teeth may as well be gold teeth. You can HQ 3 with 82 Alchemy 94 Bonecraft my server sells a stack of 12 for 160k average 30 stacks a day. It is stupid. Whats even more crazy is it provides very minimal increase of the chest opening in odyssey compared to other keys.

SE made the game looks like a clown game,everyone with those 3 stars looks downright silly.I don't think any new player would want to get into this super grindy game at this point and the vets already know how to make money. If anyone wanted to try this game because they missed the boat back in the day i would suggest a private server over retail.

And if the 3 stars bug you that much you can just turn it off lol :p I kinda like it. Also there seems to be a shit ton of ppl coming back to the game, and a lot of them seem to stay around for awhile. I haven't played for a couple of weeks now though. IRL got me good. And personally I've always enjoyed the stupid grind in XI. Even to this day!
