Signet staff, I think you mean Monster signa as Signet staff was bought with conquest points like the lvl1 mov speed plus body when your nation was rank one in conquest and you were mission rank 10...or you could buy them, that's how I got my basty and windy mule them body's.

So I came back to FFXI last week, still on the free trial since I lost my account from 10 years ago. I decided to level THF to 50 after WAR and decided for fun to hunt all the NMs I'd never bothered to get before. Managed to get Emp. Pin on the first kill and Bounding boots after like 6 attempts. Ironically gilsellers ignore them now, which is great. Thanks for the fun videos.

Ha! Congratulations on your boots! I had a situation kinda like yours, where I got Lizzy to pop multiple times on the same day. 6 pops, 5 claims, no boots. The 6th (last pop)? Someone else claimed him... and got the boots. I bought the original Boots off AH immediately after and never camped it again, lol. I'd also like to see a shout-out to one of the most "Notorious" Monsters out there; The Spook in King Ranpere's Tomb. While it wasn't an actual NM, but everyone wanted that dang Traveler's Mantle~ (Especially the RMTs lol)

I couldnt believe the boots were a 6.6% drop i had to check right now. I've killed him maybe 4 or 5 times now and I've gotten the boots 3 times. Once when it was still leaping boots, twice when they were Bounding. I have screenshots on my photobucket from 2004 on my original char with Leaping Lizzy. I'll never forget how i found out about him. On my first trip to bastok, there were some experienced linkshell members who were very rich and high level (eventually they had kraken club just for their ranger to build TP back in 2004). They told me they sold the boots for 500k+ and thats how they got their gil. I was hooked when I heard about that much gil. Come to think of it, it's probably subtle things like that that made me so addicted in the first place.

Congrats on the Bounding Boots!! Maybe you should go back to your house and kill Old-Two-Wings... make yourself a Bat Cape. Evasion bonus +5 *swoosh* I was always camping NMs. Megalobugard was one of my faves. I could chill in Lufaise area for hours! Worst no-drop was in Salvage @75. 0/380ish for the headpiece I needed. My buddy who was planning to get ffxi was camping leaping Lizzy on my account when we were hanging out. I've killed it once before that with no drop. He actually got the claim and the drop for MY character making the drop 1/2 for my character. After my buddy got the game and joined my server he leveled THF to 15 or 20 and proceeded to go 0/31 on the boots, gave up and eventually just bought them.. this was in ffxi prime days too where it was not easy to get that claim let alone the boots.

A buddy of mine used to camp Jaggedy Earred Jack soooo much that he would get him to spawn, kill him, then take a nap for like an hour or so, wake up, go kill one rabbit and then he would spawn again... as if he was so connected to that creature that he heard it calling in his sleep! lol My story on Leaping Lizzy was I had never ever won claim on him and I would always see people kill him before I could ever have the chance. One day I was leveling pld with my girlfriend and i saw him in the distance while I was fighting a lizard. We were only lvl 9 or something like that. I rushed over to claim him just off of sheer adrenaline and excitement not realizing that I just death sentenced me and my girlfriend's character cause we had no chance of killing him. I fought him off for such a long time that I got him down to about half health and I was curing and my girlfriend was helping and it just was not happening. Out of nowhere a friend of mine was passing by on his chocobo, saw me, saw Lizzy, saw I was dying and ran over and cured me just as I was one hit away from death. He stayed and cured til I killed it and I got the boots. It was so epic. lol

I used to camp spook in king ramps tomb. I know hes not a nm but dam... That mantle used to sell for 50k and he popped like 2 or 3 times a day. Decent gill for low lvl, but the competition and the rush was intense.

Jagged Ear Jack does exist. I was running thru one day about 5ish years ago and saw him just bouncing around. So I waited, and waited and waited. No one came near or anything. So I killed him, got the drop and then got yelled at by someone who was camping him. But I waited and watched him for over 5 mins so I claim no responsibility lol

I have a Christmas Eve story of my own. Christmas Eve 2004. I was leveling BLM, my first job. I finally made it to level 30 and I needed to upgrade to the Seer's Doublet set but I didn't have the money. On Christmas Eve 2004, I was passing through Sarutabaruta on Chocobo heading somewhere that I don't even remember Then I saw Spiny Spipi. I hesitated to dismount as I only had a few hundred gil. I made the call battle it. And it dropped the Mist Silk Cape. I was able to sell it and buy my Seer's doublet set and I had a nice chunk of change leftover for miscellaneous expenses.

Kirin! OMG I played BLM in an end game alliance I think I must have gone up to fight it over a dozen times. One time we missed calculated and hit the room on Earthsday. Needless to say, we didn't win that night. It was an ugly ugly fight. I think our main tank might have de-leveled because he died so many times.

I took a break when they canceled Xbox..but i'll be back come the winter. I still like the game. I'm currently trying to kill every NM in the game. Some lists are not current and many NM's are no longer in the game but still appear on lists. Some were 1 time spawns for special events. And some are Mythical. currently i'm 2,792 / 3,525 ...it keeps you busy

well not all 3,525 are nm's. I also count impossible to gauge if your lvl 99. Some dynamis nm's no longer exist and alot of what used to be impossible to gauge @ lvl 99 are now down graded so this 3,525 is adjusted so. If I can just break the 3k nm mark i'll be happy. My kills also reflect nm's that I helped kill.

Way back in High school, i camped Jagged Eared Jack (Stupid Rarab!) a ton. I wasn't a thief but my character was always poor and I just wanted the rabbit charm to sell it. After a week or so camping him off and on, I killed him probably 3-4 times and finally, on the last attempt he dropped the charm!!! I did a /tell to my friend and he thought I was lying until we met up and I proudly displayed my prize in my bazaar :^D. think i ended up getting around 800K for that puppy!

leaping lizzy and Jack the rabbit hunting. the spawns are based on like slot machine math. Get a bow stand in the area where they spawn. Kill everything you can reach with your bow, only taking 1-3 steps to 1 side or another. the nm will pop within bow range. No need to go running all over creation.

Have your sins been forgiven today and forever? Think about this. The God of the bible, the One True God made us to worship him, obey him, and enjoy him forever. We break His laws daily by not putting Him first, not thanking Him like we should, we lie, we lust, we have sex before marriage, we dishonor our parents, we covet things other people have, we take God's name and use it in vain, we use it in a low manner, sometimes as a cuss word, (God is holy and even His name is holy), we don't love like we should, etc. In doing so we're saying He's not a good provider, He's a liar, He's untrustworthy, He's not worthy of praise. All these things and more are counted against us. The bible says God is the just judge of the world and one day He will settle the score for all the wrong we've done. God is holy meaning He is righteous (morally perfect in thought, word, and deed) It also means He is set apart and higher than us. God being good, must punish all sin or wrong doing in the world. This means that if you sin one time God will cast you in hell for eternity. Because He is good and He doesn't turn a blind eye to sin. But there is good news. 2000 years ago Jesus the Son of God came into this world and lived a perfect life ( He never sinned once) and He died on the cross taking the wrath that we deserve and paid the penalty for the sins we committed. The bible says that if you will repent (confess and forsake your sins) and trust in what Christ did on the cross (He took the wrath of God that was meant for you and I) then all your sins will be forgiven and when you die you will be in heaven with God and all who believe for eternity. Jesus died and on the third day He rose from the grave. Get right with God today don't wait. Once you die after that comes the judgement. Hebrews 9:27 It's the most important thing you can do. You must be born again John 3:7 If you repent and trust in what Christ did on the cross it shows that you've been born again or born spiritually. Right now you're dead in your sins and you can't see the beauty of Jesus Christ but after you trust in Christ all the things you hate about God like obeying him, serving Him, loving Him and others, reading the bible, praying and going to church you will love to do those things because God changes your heart. That's how you know you have been born again and forgiven. Please think long about this and ask me any questions you have as this is the most important thing you can ever think of in your life. An eternity in hell (darkness and a lake of fire the bible describes it, with weeping and gnashing of teeth) or an eternity out of that place and into the loving arms of God who is infinitely glorious, has infinite knowledge and has infinite power to do all that He pleases.
