Caius is a unique villain in the Final Fantasy series. He does not want to destroy the world for reasons of normal villains, he wants to put a stop to the suffering he and Yuel suffer. This theme is a mirror to such feelings and the way that Caius is trying to use to break this vicious circle.

I think Caius and Sephiroth would work together for a goal rather than fight. Caius would only attack sephiroth if he threatened Yuel. And Sephioth wouldn't attack Caius or Yuel unless they got in his way. Cannon or not, in dissidia Sepheroth would turn on his own allies if they got in his way. So Caius would be no different. Caius wants to kill etro and sepheroth wants to end all life. Life does end if etro is killed so they would have a common interest.

Birth ends if Etro is killed, since her lifeblood is the font from which human souls are born. Life itself doesn't end. In any case, it was Etro and, in turn, Lightning that brought humanity into the conflict; before Lightning sent Noel and Mog to the past, Valhalla essentially only existed at the end of time, where Caius traveled simply by existing eternally. The timeline collapsed on itself and the paradoxes were born when Noel visited Serah in New Bodhum.

Idk about that, Sephiroth has issues with the rest of humanity, and see's himself and Jenova the only 2 worth of living in the world. Caius only cares about Yuel, and I don't think he'd trust him to not harm her. Sephiroth plans to absorb all souls and become a god, while Caius want's to save Yuel's soul, so I don't really think it would work out between them.

Seriously guys, Caius is stronger then Sephiroth. It doesn't make Sephiroth a worse villain or Caius a better one, its simply the case then the XIII protagonists fight stronger foes then Cloud or Zack. I haven't played dissidia at all but I have played 13-2. While my opinion stands on that game as not being so thrilling, Caius was in fact a magnificent character design. His theme even better. Someone got Yahtzee in Squeenix JP HQ.

When I herd this playing in the credits of FF 13-2 after seeing that ending the first time, it felt more like a permanent game over then beating the game. Even after beating Requiem of the Goddess hearing it in the credits again still felt like a game over. Especially if you saw the 100% comoleation cutscean after the credits.

Cloudburst was my only RAV during the later half of the game and for the highest level monster battles (for the full bestiary, Raspatil being the hardest). Its Feral Link buffs your party and heals them so I found it extremely useful if i couldn't switch to a MED in time. Also had Cactuar as my COM and and SEN monster for insta tortoise lol. Just talking about it now is making me want to go play it XD

Nah, Barthandelus is dead. His plan however totally suceeded in XIII-2, ironically. Bhunivelze, the creator of all Lindzei , Etro and Pulse (ergo "The Maker") has awakened in Lightning Returns and he's actually the one that woke up Lightning from stasis and assigned her as The Savior. Now why would Lightning aid Bhunivelze or what Bhunivelze's real objective is has yet to be revealed (I doubt the creator of all fal'Cie is helping humans out of the goodness of his heart).

Motomu claims he worked month after month after month to perfect this song to top One Winged Angel. (it proves how epic that song was lol.) and i must say, it does top it. One Winged Angel is still epic, but more nostalgia. he DID top it, but you really cant compare the two. sephiroth's theme represents his insanity and behemoth fury and hatred. while the moment this song came on you could feel the pride and darkness of caius. this did top One Winged Angel though. wonderful job, Motomu! :D

Usually better then their Japanese contemporaries, where they got a way higher amount of used voice actors but they all do the exact same voices, so you get the issue of voice reuse but lack the advantage of experienced voice actors. Humans HAD machines and technology even under fal'Cie rule. Fal'cie only ran the machines that were essential in keeping Cocoon running, and aided in speeding up others, like providing uninterrupted energy, changing weather, creating an artificial sun, feeding millions of people with limited resources, etc. Serah's backstory in XIII points out she was smart and was scheduled to study in an university in Eden before the Purge. And Hope's dad was a top scientist of the Sanctum so...

Actually it is because he died in Valhalla where the line between life and death is almost nonexistent, the Goddess's death did allow the Chaos to enter the Visible Realm and turn it into another Valhalla, blurring the line between life and death there too, which is what he wanted since as the line is blurred Yeul cannot really die anymore. Although the fact that he can still control Chaos in the secret ending raises some questions as the only reason he could was because Etro's heart it in his

Um...well. I agree with you somewhat because I still relied on aggression more. But I combined buffing/debuffing because buffing eases the devastation Caius causes and debuffing wounds (Deshell and Poison being a plus considering he rarely employs Absolution. Also my Purple Chocobo priorities Vigliance which helped with keeping him from stopping Ally action with most of his weaker attacks. Even if he breaks chain he doesn't have enough time to stop my rampage when I start attacking.

Considering the game is relatively close to release (and that it was likely developed along with XIII-2, otherwise it'd be far too quick for them to have it so far ahead in development) I'm quite sure the story is already written so they do =p. Now whether it is believable or not is a different thing. As for Bhunivelze's goal, that one is pretty simple as it is the reason he ordered his fal'Cie to search for Valhallla. He wants to rule both the Unseen Realm and the Mortal World.

Poison should easily counter Regen once it sticks. Plus, Pain can be used to severly lower his health once you deplete his health the first time. A full crystarium could help, too.
