@@arbiter771 He did what he could, I can even say that I think he was trying his best as an actor. But he really lacked the gravitas I expected for the character. Thus my disappointment.

@@aeoniam8251 Which is fair. The entire postgame of FFXIV: Endwalker has been very disappointing story-wise. So it's to be expected honestly. The fight is cool, the VA did a dope job with the fight and the cutscenes for his voice. Honestly the biggest defense i can give is a spoiler about Golbez in this: It's not actually the originally Golbez. In this game, the World Golbez hailed from was lost to Darkness, and ended up becoming the Void. Golbez traveled with a man named Durante before the world was lost, and during some time, Golbez died and was sealed into a Memoria crystal thingy after his death. Durante then took up Golbez's name and mantle. Later, whilest still pretending to be Golbez, he was warped into a Voidsent by the darkness, and is what you see now. So technically, he wouldn't have Golbez's voice even if they could've gotten the VA. You actually see the original Golbez in some cutscenes, and he doesn't actually talk besides some un-voice acted lines.
