this is one of the best games I've ever played! I just started Heavensward the other day after finishing A Realm Reborn (which had a great finale!!), the story is so freaking good! Square's variant of Dragon Knights are by far the greatest I have ever seen. Not only the way they are claid in armor, but their fighting skills. Who in a million years would have came up with the ability to jump so high that it rivals the dragons themselves. A true dragon slayer. You only see things like this from FF games no where else no matter how much they try to create their own dragoon.

Albino Bob Kimahri was a blue mage, not a dragoon. He just used a spear as his weapon.

PlusOne2Crit Right. But FFX characters didn't have fixed job classes. Kimahri uses a spear as his primary weapon and has the "Jump" ability - dragoon's signature skill: That makes him somehow a dragoon. I like to consider that he had a dual job class and he was both a dragoon and a blue mage.

FFX had a very fixed job class. They could use any skill on the sphere grid but they were all far better at specific things. I.E. Tidus was the fastest, Wakka was better against flying enemies, Auron was better vs armoured. However after reading your comment I went and read into it a little and apparently he was both Dragoon AND Blue Mage. So yes that is actually correct.

@@RaizerSkybreaker late to the party but this is absolutely not true. HW is indeed amazing but it’s MSQ is nowhere near as long as ARR and that’s ok because ARR had a lot of fluff and meandering. So much so that they removed some of that to shorten it a tad but it’s still way too long. HW is more streamlined and it’s a better game because of that.

Farhan Geriansyah PS2? Maybe the PC version of ESO has more life to it as players can actually text chat instead of hoping everyone uses a mic but the PS4 version is an absolutely disconnected experience as not many use mics and of those that do you have to hope they are around your level and want to party up. Mainly I find myself walking along, finishing quests alone as other players do the same without uttering a word. I can't even use the group finder because it almost never works, I couldn't believe the number of forum threads over the internet on this faulty system. The graphics, music and handful a skills at a time don't help either.

Mr. Horseshoe There are certain main-quests where you need to go into a dungeon, but you always find a group. But yeah it's an MMO so you should play with other people.

Mr. Horseshoe I think the others misunderstand your question. The game (and yes, obviously it's an MMO) is actually very well suited to solo play, though that is not the case for certain classes and jobs (which you can switch between at any time btw). That being said there is hardly an activity that takes more than an hour, so raiding does not really mean that you need to invest too much time either.

Mr. Horseshoe i am one of the very few just quit the raid and want to do the solo play and lesser dungeon it is still pretty fun to do, you still can get a high level equipment without doing raid and some of them are on the same level with the equipment you get from the raid, so not doing raid actually doesn't do that much damage on you

Mecha Meister This game highly encourages teamwork and communication between party members. All dungeons and trials are all party content. There's no such thing as a solo duty, unless you're doing class quests or story quests. If you're gonna play the game, you're best off finding a Free Company (FFXIV version of a guild) or making friends that'll do stuff with you, or else you're gonna find yourself waiting for the duty finder a ton. You are gonna have a bad time if you don't make friends. Raids and certain dungeons and questlines are entirely optional. You don't have to do them. But if you want to, find some people to do them with. Or wait for the duty finder for an hour for a party of noobs that have no idea what they're doing and decide they want to vote abandon, making you re-queue all over again. Solo players don't get a whole lot of love in this game, especially if you're a solo DPS.
