Nice vid. One addition: in one hunt unlocked in the Vyv sidequests, you fight a lady daemon called Chadarnook in a painting. This was originally a boss in VI. Oh and regarding "Auron", these daemons, like Ronin, Yojinbo or Ayakashi, are basically from V, I recently farmed Yojinbo for the best katana in V. They look very similar.

Dang, that's clearly Cadarnook wow. That is a pretty good one, yes. Poor Vyv, I ignored him and his FF7 tshirt because I felt he was too out of place in there lmao. Yes, that thought was the one I got while getting footage, BUT, with that color pallette compared to the actual yojimbos and ronin in the game, it looks different and the idea of being Auron sounds extremely cooler to me so I'm going to gaslight myself to believe it

Thank you very much! I may have too much fun after playing FF9, as every time I play a FF game I'm looking forward to things from the past. It gives me some sort of pride to see them referencing another from the series, as I like for the love to the games to be to all of them and not isolating one or two. I know I will replay it soon!

Man, I miss XV, I kinda want to run around and make Noctis drift and look like a buffoon, there's something special about that... also! The Quetzalcoatl looks similar in Rebirth!! Maybe save it for "References in FFVIIR" 😅

I just platinumed FF5 and it's really fun to see how Omega evolved. While I defeated the FF5 one in 2 rounds before it completely obliterated the team (Mystic Knight-Thundaga-Rapid Fire), the XV one takes really long. But it's such an entertaining fight. The theme referencing the FF5 theme makes the track even more badass. Glad Comrades has two versions of it.

oh shit, nice! Congrats. I got traumatized by Omega when I started playing post game stuff in the GBA version of FF1, that has a ton of classic FF stuff in there, so I got excited going down the floors but suddenly there was a big mashin and didn't visit that place again

I feel like not enough time was spent on FFVIII references, especially considering the original name for XV was Versus VIII. I'm barely into XV, but I immediately linked the vehicle styles to VIII, as well as the fact that you can collect an ingredient called "funguar", which is a name of a mushroom enemy first featured in VIII.
