I'm going to use the description to answer some frequently asked questions.
There are 3 stashes of Allagan Tomestones around the base for a total of 90. • 60 free Allagan Tomest... this video shows the first 60. • 30 tomestones that I m... this video shows the other 30.
You get Vortex Feathers from breaking the Garuda's Wings. It's not 100% so you won't always get it.
You earn Adamantite from killing the Adamantoise. It can drop Adamantoise Meat OR Adamantite.

2 years is probably too long to point out that after she teleports away in the first half of the fight best option is point warp to a crystal and hold shift, hanging increases the lock on range so it’s faster return to the offensive once she lands again

I need help. I left the collab area cause I wasn't strong enough to fight Garuda again for the 120 yet. But now I can't find the event area again. How do I get back so I can farm more Tomestones? I also didn't have the Weapons either.

Did you just have 2 set of gaze of the vortex ? I've been trying to get my hands on 2 sets of weapon like the dagger, greatsword and pistol so that I can have Noctis equip it as well. But I only manage to have 1 set.

What the hell is that Summon used? Haven't played this game in years and have never seen it. Never seen or faced Garuda either. Is it a royal edition exclusive?

It's the Garuda summon from the FFXIV crossover quest. It was added in a patch to tge base game, so snyone can play it. You head to the Cauthess Rest Area and start the quest Adventurer from another world.

So what's the best short sword and greatsword and are they better than the legendary weapons I got from the secret dungeons?

The weapons from this crossover are the best in the game. They auto critical hit and easily hit 9999 damage at level 120. Plus they can hit around 30k with Rare Metal and optimal strength gear. They are very good.

@@DemonLordSparda well that's bad ass but I won't use rare metal because it makes you a glass canon, sure you hit like a truck but your health is so low. And where do you get that optimal strength thing at? I've done pretty much everything but beat the secret castlemark dungeon because it's the hardest one for me.

Anyway thanks for the info I'll definitely be working toward a getting those weapons then. I play on an older analog T.V. so I couldn't really read the effects all I could read where the attack stats but had I known you get a critical on ever hit I definitely would have stayed in the area and worked on it.

Does the fight have a certain mechanic like in FFXIV? Was that a new summon? I can't wait to play this collab; too bad I don't have the game at hand where I'm at.

It was a new summon yes. It can be used outside this fight too. It does have a "wipe" mechanic that seems to happen when it destroys all the crystals and its clones are out. I don't know what triggers it, but usually if the fight takes too long or you don't bother killing the clones and wind balls you get kicked out of the fight.

@@DemonLordSparda It works like it does in Garuda's fight in FFXIV. Attacks she and her clones do near the pillars damage them, razor plumes damage them as well. When she uses Aerial Blast, if you have no pillars standing, it wipes the raid. So in this case, you have to make sure at least one crystal survives when she casts Aerial Blast.

Question: I have my characters all at 100. What is the quickest way you know to grind them to level 120 without starting new game +?

Using Alterna on the Adamantoise and sleeping in Altissia.

Make sure you eat something to boost your experience before you do either of those things though. And use a lot of experience gain magic. And just don't rest at all until you've built up about a million points of experience. Then eat the special lasagne at altisha and then go rest for 4x the experience.

Michael B each level is about 1 mil xp once u hit 99, so i would save up about 4-8 mil xp

@@itspandito Yeah you're right because I eventually had to do that for my guys. I would complete every hunt and beat most of the dungeons to earn that much experience. Or you can cast experience magic on the samurai in altisha over and over again, just hit him once and then exit the fight only to let your magic recharge and do it again and also eat the lasagna you get from the one restaurant in the city and use as many moogle charms as you can and make sure to eat the lasagne again before you rest in altisha. That's how I did it anyway, I saw it on KZbin and tested it out and it actually works. It's just time consuming and boring as hell.

If you have the Royal version and all of the Royal Arms you can visit a statue near the first dungeon you go to with Cor and get the Royal Sigil which gives you Armiger Unleashed.

There are 3 bundles of 30 Tomestones around the base, so you can get 90 for free. However, after that you have to farm one at a time.

Loot 3 sets of 30 allagan tomestones and after that do chapter select and loot them again.

Allagan Tomestones doesn’t carry over when you use chapter select so you must first get 90 tomestones around the base and spend it all, then do chapter select to get more 90 tomestones and buy the rest of the vortex weapon.

How do you get adamantite for the sword?

You can buy them from the same store you get the weapons from, or get it from the Adamantoise. The Adamantoise can either drop Meat or Adamantite, so you may have to kill it a few times. The easiest way to kill it is to use the Ring of the Lucii by casting Alterna over and over until it connects. The battle has several point warp locations so you can get all your MP back after each cast.

It's pretty much entirely from being level 120, maxing out all skills, having 1 Magitek Suit V2, and the Gaze of the Vortex Sword. The Sword auto crits and does more damage in the air.

You need a Rune Saber to get the Garula's Blade, and Garula's Blade for Gaze of the Vortex, and you can't have a weapon equipped if you need to trade it in

How do you get the gaze of the vortex?

Download the latest patch. This adds a new quest to the game. To access it go to the Cauthess Rest Area directly South of the Disc. When you arrive at the rest area you'll her someone call for help. Do that quest and a new shop will open up. In order to make Gaze of the Vortex (or any of the other 3 weapons) you need Rune Saber for the sword, a Claymore for the Greatsword, a Mythril Pistol for the gun, and Mythril Dggers for the Daggers. All of those weapons are sold from the weapon vendor in Lestallum. You also need 1 Vortex feather which is obtained from performing breaks on the boss from the new quest (you can refight it after you finish). Finally you need 10 Tomestones. You get 1 for every boss kill. The base where you fight the boss also has 3 places where you can pick up 30 tomestones. After you have your preferred Garuda Weapon you need some more materials to make it into Vortex weapon. You need the weapon you just made, 4 Vortex Feathers, 1 Adamantite (which is sold in the store, or cn be obtained by killing the Admantoise) and 20 Tomestones.

@@zeronightcore301 No there is nothing you have to do first, but you do have to make one of the Garuda weapons first. Make sure you do that. If you can take a screenshot of the store page with you trying to make the weapon you want I can probably help.

They should have gave us something better like LEGACY Weapons. Buster sword, gun blade, cecils lance, and to top it all off. The versus xiii outfits for the entire party.
