I can't be the only one who absolutely fell in love with the trailer of FF Versus 13 the moment I saw it, waiting years for this games release, and I sat there day and night for 2 weeks hammering out every single thing to do, and this story sits with me all these years later as one of the most memorable experiences in my time gaming. This song reminds me of so much, my youth, my ambition, my loved ones, where I've been and where I may be going next, the loss and gain I've felt along the way. This song really filled me with an appreciation for things and the story left me smiling despite being sad. It might not have been the greatest game, but it was certainly an experience to live alongside its debut, release, and slow content rollout. I remember my first time booting into the Festival and doing minigames and all the episodes building on a story I already enjoyed a lot, with characters who I really felt bonded to after so many hours. I wish I could replay this game again for the first time and feel what I felt then if only for a day.

You can’t convince me Bahamut planning to destroy all life on the planet makes any sense when he literally stopped Ifrit before for the exact same thing. And they never explain that away. It really isn't some shit pulled out of thin air, in fact leaving the twist in the DLC echos the same twisting of Christianity post canon than Gnostics do. Think about this, Ardyn and Somnus are Cain and Able respectively. The original Christian story paints Cain as tragic but wrong like the "original" ff15 story. The post game reveals however, like Gnosticism, Ardyn or Cain as a victim of a cruel god. Whilst Christians believe in a single, omnipotent entity - FF differs in that it has a pantheon. One of those is a God of War which in Gnostic belief would perfectly sum up what they see as they true nature of the kind of evil god that would banish Adam and Eve, allow Abraham to circumcise Isaac (Regis sacrificing Noctis), punish Cain for unworthy sacrifice (the corruption of Ardyn) and sacrifice his only son (Noctis and Lucis ) Even "Bahamut terra flare" on Eos is akin to the wrath of God during stories like in the destruction of Sodom or the the Great Flood. Again, these are all things that gnostic Christians suggest is evidence that God is actually a false god, the evil 'demiurge' In a very meta and hilarious way, your critique of the story mirrors Christian critique of Gnosticism, especially you saying "they ruined it with [episode Ardyn] and their book because they decided fan theories about [Ardyn] were more interesting." FF15 is better than people think, there's tonnes more than people realise yet.

It has to have been almost 10 years since I've last heard this song but thought about it today...It really helped me get through some really hard times in my past by always helping bring me solace through the noise. this right here is my second if not favourite game of all time everything about it was crafted so beautifully from the world, the characters, the story, the development of it all and how the more you play even though its short you get to see the characters progress thorough the game eventually accepting there duties and fully maturing. On top of that to, my love for the game only further increased for it when after finishing my second play through I decided to watch the short anime just to spend more time in this world. Finally, the best part is that I haven't even played the dlc yet and I can't wait until that day faithfully arrives where all get to experience the magic of getting to experience ffxv all over again for the first time even if its not the same.

I admit I never gave XV a proper chance until recently. Ignoring the fact the DLC should have been included but they did a lot to enrich the story and I’ve found myself thinking about the game a lot since I beat it a couple weeks ago. This song especially stuck with me.

Meh, at this point FF15 is a pretty complete experience, and I was very happy with the game and story. It would still be interesting to see some of the ideas for the original Versus 13 though. That said, people forget that a ton of the trailers that dropped a couple years before FF15 released were while Nomura was still on board. And honestly, not much changed.
