I loved how beautiful this fight looked and the music to go with it too. May not have been hard but it was epic on all levels. Making it difficult with potentially annoying mechanics would have ruined it imo but a bit more difficulty would be nice :) but I can see why it wasn't as well just to showcase Noc's new power

It's like the devs didn't have time for balancing and revising the combat. Neither did they have time to complete the middle portion of the story. This game felt rushed and unfinished, despite being a 10 year development.

shane blue sky yeah it looks a lot different than back at the 2016 launch. I had heard they made improvements, but thats miles better from the janky battle it used to be. Maybe the difference between the console and PC versions.

Leviathan predates the Shadow of Colossus boss by almost 17 years. FF II had Leviathan and it came out in the 80's and Leviathan arent just whales. You can literally google the term and you see various types of sea monster from huge whales to serpents. Nevermind that the painting of "The Destruction of Leviathan" was painted in 1865 and guess what it's a serpent. Biblical stories reference the Leviathan having mighty fins like a whale but the stories that predate the bible depict a serpent.
