I love how they make Ifrit seem like at first glance he'd be just this big slow-moving hulking brute, and yet despite how his size may make him look like he'd be on the slower side, he is deceptively fast and agile while also being incredibly tough. It's also nice how this time around they turned Ifrit into an absolute beast of a "summon", considering the fact that he has usually been relegated to one of, if not *the* first summon you fight/obtain and thus winds up being one of the weaker summons. This version of Ifrit comes across as an absolute monster that even the likes of Bahamut would have to take very seriously.

Wait until later in the game. Garuda (minus the tutorial battle as Phoenix) is one of the worst boss battles in the game and thats being respectful to it. What I mean is that the later boss fights are SOOOOOO good that it makes you forget about Garuda unless you get a back angle shot ;)

All the other battles are isolated or in places where it can't be appreciated the amound of destruction they can bring. I liked it here, watching the forest getting ripped appart. Even Titan was in middle of the desert, so it wasn't as clear despite being much larger.

I’ve never once touched into FF but must I say that successfully FF XVI inspired me not only touch into its lore but previous titles, this is how you successfully introduce others into previous works, newly FF fan right here, love the story, characters, world, music, and everything so far, it’s almost too perfect and as a hard fantasy fan I could not be happier, haven’t finish the story yet, masterpieces of sci-fiction like this should be enjoyed, after all you never play masterpiece twice for the first time. Titles like Dark Souls I, II, III, Elden Ring, Sekiro Shadows , Bloodborne, etc.. are part of that special place and FF just made itself part of it, amazingly done.. now let’s see what Armored Core will have as well, since that’s also amount one of me targets

The first minute of this song has been permanently stuck in my head for some time now. Unfortunately I think Garuda got a bit of the short end of the stick, since she was spoiled along with her entire fight before the game came out, so she doesn't leave such a lasting impression as if we went in blind, which is a shame because I think this fight stands up alongside all of the rest of the Eikons, it's not lesser in any single way.

I felt this way until I played the game. It really feels like they were spoiling a special moment by showing us this fight. That is, until you play all of the other ones, and realize this fight literally doesn't even count as a teaser to the level of shit you do in the later transformation battles. This fight is to the rest of the Ifrit battles what the prologue was to the Clive battles.

Thinking back on it Benedikta deserved a better fate. But in a way, that's just how the story plays out, and I'm glad they kept that theme going to the very end. If the world was in such a terrible state to the point you have nations warring with each other for the essentials of food and housing, and commit crimes against your own family, in a world where slavery is normalized. Would you want to press the reset button and start over again?

This game actually felt like a true next gen ps5 title. visuals, gameplay , boss fight scale, music, all top notch. I wish GOWR was like this, just like how GOW3 was for ps3 in terms of production and scale.. I got my itch for GOW3 like fights satisfied from ff16. I dont care about rpg mechanics, minigames, stats, exploration or loot in games like this. Just pure fun of feeling epic when doing these bossfights.
