Final Fantasy XVI OST - Stillwind - MIX Calm and Battle

This is a Mix I've made of the track Stillwind from the demo of Final Fantasy XVI using the calm part of the track and the battle part of the track, since you don't get to hear both of them together in the game.
It starts with the Calm track alone up to 2:26, them both of them are mixed and the audio levels are adjusted so that you can better listen to parts of the lower volume tracks, like the piano.

I know, I know. It's the DEMO part; they have to deliver the best possible experience to engage people. But come on, one of the best tracks in the game is locked there. No other part of the entire game has this song. I Can't forgive Square for this.

You’re very right, and the fact we don’t get that many stages with unique battle themes is absolutely criminal. The game felt more fantasy in the first 2 hours than anywhere else, but rising tide did redeem that aspect a little bit

I've been playing this on loop well over a year now. I often use this during writing and studying sessions for law school. Feels wrong to not thank you for this simple act of cutting this music together and uploading it. It's such a minor thing, but I really do appreciate it.

When I played the demo and heard this, immediately sold. This track reminds me of a real final fantasy game from the old days

I played every Final Fantasy game, and this is honestly my favorite one, despite the flaws. The dark fantasy setting, and medieval European setting, sold it for me, aswell as the good looking brooding MC. I love Berserk and felt it was the same setting. Even the MC looks similar to the Berserk MC (guts).

Also the entire Eikon fight is a reference to an old classic game, Asura Wrath.

Probably the worst ff ever. Literally press square to win and walk around and start cutscenes. Some horrible side quest and kaiju battle's

@@karlo9572 You're speaking from the modern perspective. I played all the old school FF and they aged terribly. I fully understand Square Enix trying to update the formula. The problem with it wasn't the combat system, but the lack of other mechanics. The game didn't have nearly as much funding as Rebirth.

@@RavusNox-z5i well that’s a horrible opinion. I played all the ff and this is without doubt the worst after 13. Such an empty repetitive and flat out boring game. Don’t even have to watch the screen while fighting press forward and square and the fight does itself. Story starts good becomes very weirdly paced after while so much filler for a game that’s not even that long or big. Just awful.

@@karlo9572 Well your opinion is contradicted by the fact that FF16 achieved the objective of turning around the FF brand after the disaster of 13 and 15. It did not appeal to FF turn based fans, which are a niche audience. But sales figures showed it appealed to FF newcomers and succeeded even higher than Rebirth in selling to every gamer. The game was flawed but a success in story telling. FF was always about the story not the gameplay, and I understand the Square Enix vision. NieR Replicant also had extremely limited gameplay yet was a masterpiece.

Aaarghhh too bad this theme plays so early in the game and during a flashback chapter....basically a tutorial chapter. Spectacular soundtrack, one of the best in the series now! Hey thanks, yeah I created this mix, using the two "modes" of the track, since it´s a dynamic track. From 2:25 and on the two tracks are mixed and synced. The original soundtrack was released a few days ago and there too you can hear the two "modes" but one after the other. Here in this mix the two are synced togheter. There are slight differences, manly in the piano.
