Although FFVII is in my list of "Good-but-grossly-overrated games" its Cid has always been my favorite (well, since 2004, when I really got into FFs) But last week (ThursdayJuly 27 th 2023) I finally got a PS5, and a day later, got FFXVI. And while I certenly don't this XVI is the best game of the series (In fact, it's easily in my bottom 3 main games, though I like even the bottom of my list, FFII), Cidolfus Telamon charmed me from his first appearance, and almost instantly became my favorite Cid of the series. EDIT: Ignis in XV was pretty cool too, but if I hat to rate who's my favorite party member in the series, my vote goes to Balthier in FFXII.

This gives me City of Commerce from Nier Replicant feels and I love it. Don't know why that exactly but it just does. Just a cozy area for the player to rest after doing missions and bounties.

Same and it's highly possible since Soken like to reinterpret OST from other game. For exemple you have an epic version of Papyrus theme from Undertale (I don't know the title of this OST though)

Wouldn't surprise me Soken and Okabe did work together on a Collab between Nier and FF14. It affected both studio teams a lot from what I noticed if Endwalker and the Nier app Collab says anything. Sokens been making a lot of town and field songs like Replicants since Shadowbringers

It's truly an incredible story hidden under a terrible (albeit fun and flashy) gameplay and a lot of fetch quests... It's a shame because with a little more effort this would have been remembered forever as one of the best games in the franchise

@@giordanotriolo8681 I agree with some of the critiques. They could've removed some of the useless early fetch quests and spaced out the really amazing sidequests in the second half. In particular sidequests that come near end game they should've spaced it out. It's an incredible gem.

As far as I'm concerned, this is Cid's Theme. All I have to now is to wait for a good, talented soul to take this an make a slow, heartfelt, dramatic electric guitar version. EDIT: That awkward moment when you realize it took you the entire game and 3 additional days of constant listening to anything FF16 related to notice Ramuh's theme is just an epic, pumped up version of this.... Which honestly makes sense in every possible way...

As I entered the hideout for the first time, I was hyped to see what will there be to do in this game. Not the main story, but the side content. I remember starting that food delivery quest, thinking that it will introduce cooking. I was totally up for collecting recepies and ingredients. We all know how that quest ended :/ Then the woodwork side quest. I tought They made a whole system of decorating the Hideout. Yeah right... Decorating my ass... :/ Than later on after a very linear experience there was a side quest with soil and saving an apprentice. My dissapointment was already big, but I tought maybe there is a famring system, some kind of it. Yeah, as if :/ This will probably forever stay as the most unenjoyable game I have ever finished and only game to make me literally (and I am not joking) fall asleep on my desk. And boy did I finish it 100% with Platinum and all. Even music was not anything special, just good. But this song right here is the one I would find myself whistling while out and about in public, or while I work, or when I am alone. I really, and I mean really, love it. :D

Im a huge FF fan, and have been wanting to play 16 very much since its release, but couldnt afford a ps5. I finally saved up enough and bought one yesterday! Im so excited, I only got to play a little last night, but I made it to the hideaway and fell in love with this tune. I spent nearly an hour just walking around the hideout grooving lol. I cant wait to get home and get back to the game, man I havent been this excited about a game in a while. Love all my FF family out there in the world.
