This was one of three 747s carrying commemorative centenary liveries for BA and its predecessors - what I find amazing is that the 747 in its various forms had flown for them for half of that 100 years!

Fabulous … thank you. The Landor was THE best livery for BA ! This brought back a fond memory of walking out to a BA 747 at the old airport in Brisbane (Aus), in 1992, No air bridge, you came in at ground level and climbed, then went further up to non smoking economy upstairs… those were the days . Beautiful footage of the landing and up close, Fab!

Some excellent piloting skills to land this beauty on such a small runway real shame BA are scraping there 747 fleet absolutely nothing wrong with them have plenty more flying hours left in these fine aircraft probably costing more to scrap them than keeping them in the sky 🙁

Many of they were approaching the end of their working life and they have become very expensive to run compared to their more modern competitors, which are just tubes with wings

Sorry to say they can't do that. The engines were the first to go. They hope to do tours and of course used for filming.
