To not play for one snooker in a deciding frame, as defending champion is really poor. There's players would give everything to play there, and he didn't even look interested at the end. Disappointing for the crowd too.

Goodbye, Brecel! Deserved result! The fact that he didn't even try to find a single snooker shows how bad temper he has! Such a shame he won here year ago. But it's ok, only one year and he would never be anywhere near top 16 player again and everybody will forget the fact that he won here. David also never had a good temper, but Brecel is just a shame for the sport. Congratulations to Dave, glad he finally won some close match, good luck in the next round.

@@mulugetakejela6126 actually I am. It's 1 AM where I am and I didn't eat anything since 6 PM yesterday. For the last hour I watched this Belgian can't make a single decent break. But I am glad that Dave finally did what we're all expect him to do. Still a shame Ricky didn't do the same year ago for we never seen a guy that "partying all night" before the last session of quarterfinals against Ronnie lifted World trophy. But it's ok, I am already feeling better now, when he's out, and now I can finally take my midnight snack with peace of mind.

Maybe next year Luca should try the practicetable some more before the worldchampionship instead of relaxing and playing some darts. And he should take it more serious. Don't get me wrong but i'm not a friend of wastet talent. He has the capability to be a multiple wc-winner but not like this. That he won last year, so my opinion, was not pure luck but he was getting payed of for a risky sloppy game. So, please Luca, take it next year serious and try to win and don't give up frames and matches easily.

To quote the Nugget: "Nobody deserves to win. You're either good enough on the day, the hour, the second or you're not." Maybe a little patience? He went for shots he didn't need to. I mean we know him that way but tone it down just a smidgeon and you might win big time. Does he have a coach? I mean it's a pitty. Such talent. Just a little nudge in the right direction would help him. Anyway great job by Dave to get back and win.
