I cried watching that surveillance tape like if I knew him.. that same night, I saw another video of him bleeding out in front of the hospital.. it was so hard to watch. I have never in my life seen something like that. As a mother my heart cried out for the pain his mom and family felt and went through. I was so hurt I brought my family to nyc to visit family but also pay our respects to his family. My youngest was only 16 it was heart wrenching to explain to him about that.

that hospital is weird... there is a place that looks like an entrance to the emergency room but it is not. One has to go to the end of the building walking up a narrow walkway (I believe scaffolding was up at the time too). I'm surprised he made it to the hospital with such mortal wounds on his person.

This shit is sad!! A young man lost his life, and 13 others threw theirs away....all should be looking forward to the things that teens and young adult males do. As a kid that grew up in gang infested Chicago, I never understood the gang mentality. How does 13 against 1 make you tough? While I have no sympathy for those on their way to prison, it still hurts to see young people throw their lives away because of a BS gang. My condolences to his family. Hopefully, his mom can now rest a little easier knowing that they will pay(not nearly enough) some for their actions.

That sad part is junior was bleeding to death and people recorded it instead of helping him. Anyone who does record someone dying should be punished as well. That poor kid probably could have survived if they would have helped him instead of recording him. Those evil men only got 12 to 18 years!? I was thinking of this young man the other day, never knew him BUT this was one horrific and senseless murder I have ever seen, I couldn’t even look at the screen incase they showed anything that would remind me of the crime. The video was gut wrenching and left me with many nightmares. He reminded me of my cousin and I was such a mess. I didn’t know him personally but to see such a young person who was never in trouble and wanted to make something of their life be murdered so brutally is insane to me. This was so horrible. Poor thing tried to save himself by running and he collapsed..

Most countries, once you're remanded to jail going back and forth to court until a final sentence is issued, any hair you have is scraped off once you hit the processing unit....There will be no braids, dreadlocks, long hair, none of that... Some developing countries, a blade will be used to shave every last piece of hair. I'm sure its the same way in their parents native D.R.. Unfortunately the American penal system allows a lot of freedoms in its institutions. These guys look like they're fresh off the street while they've been in custody for close to 5yrs
