Chris, thank you so much for doing that gear check. Q:Are folks starting to use air-bags on the Haute Route? I heard that was not common. Prob. due to the weight penalty (2-3kg). In the Sierras (California), >105mm is a popular BC ski width. For upcoming trips, I was leaning towards 95m underfoot being the sweet spot for a lightweight setup but still capable for marginal conditions though it seems most euro setups are much narrower (88mm).
