That was such a nail biter of a finale, never thought it would be so close and Mattea doing it no less. I always knew they were fantastic, but I definitely figured this would be down the James, Amy and possibly Andrew. Kudos to them for playing so spectacularly.

Well, since they were the 3 finalists, they already get to come back to next year's Masters Tournament so maybe Matt or Mattea will win next year or maybe James will make it 2 for 2. You never know as Jeopardy! is full of unexpected twists and turns. I'm sure Alex Trebek is smiling down on the show now.

It's kind of ironic that Matt finished in 3rd place because he holds the 3rd longest winning streak and the 3rd highest total winnings on regular Jeopardy!. quebec once had its own version of jeopardy but gave up in the 90's and then canadian tv channels started airing the american version instead

Surprised Mattea took a risk in betting. Could’ve won if she played it safe and bet nothing.

Mattea had to assume that James would bet everything in Final and be right (which, not counting joke answers, he almost always is). If that were to happen, his two game total would be ahead of Mattea were they to bet 0. A bet of 5,915 or higher ensures that they would beat out James by at least 1 point should both of them be correct in Final and should James bet everything

It would have seemed very wrong considering James dominated all of them multiple times during that competition, only to almost lose that last game. I mean he was so much better than every one there, it wasn't even close. So it's good that things went his way during that last game.
