Yeah, our captain must have a strong 'diamond' heart in order to play through honkai impact 3rd May be its a spoiler (little info about himeko) do not read if want to play first Himeko has already resolved herself to exchange her life to save kiana, we all respect her choice Instead of using the cure meant for her to extend her own life span (from 1 year left) and retire from her duty as valkyria, himeko choose to use this cure to save kiana who already became herrscher. After all himeko told kiana before that when someone become herrscher, valkyria must choose killing them(easier) over saving them(harder) even if they're friend or their own family but himeko still choose to save kiana in the end In conclusion, himeko's most corrected choice according to her own teaching is to kill kiana and then use the cure for herself and then retire Yet himeko's chosen choice did not follow the proper conduct but her feeling to save kiana, her precious student, even if she die after then its worth it (TwT)

You can see from the animation that its not hard for himeko to kill kiana (i think its actually easy because himeko can cut kiana in half with her overwhelmingly powerful slash!) 1) himeko do not initiate any attack at all, she only recieve or parry every attack from kiana without any intention to counter (himeko dont want to hurt kiana) 2) himeko only want to get close to kiana to inject the cure, so she deliberately recieves all attack to make sure that kiana will stand still and keep attacking her 3) himeko must act perfectly to make sure that kiana wont escape in time because with her space power, kiana can easily shutter space and escape anytime she want, so the only way is to create the moment when kiana is careless to inject the cure 4) this exact moment is after himeko's last move that can surely kill kiana but himeko intentionally miss her attack and this make kiana confused as 'why did himeko not kill her' then its the perfect time to draw kiana's attention and secretly inject the cure on her back 5) after this sequence of actions, although himeko manage to save kiana, she also reached her limit and fall unconscious, this results in her inability to escape in time (dont know if she can really escape though) and finally fall into the sea of quanta so himeko's basically MIA cause her body cant be found

11:50 to add to the saddness, the cure is made of Cecilia's Cells (real kiana's mom) who also died in a really sad way to stop the second honkai eruption, a constant cycle of sacrifice, loss and sadness.

After the Kiana and Himeko animation, the whole plot for the story has been shifted make a lot of people on board for the main storyline. Himeko 's death not also impacted the story, it's also impact the whole community.

This applies to valkyries who use too much honkai energy and suffer the after effects of zombification. In the fight with himeko, Kianna was not affected by the after effects atleast not for another few chapters.

Basically: Kiana turned HoV, everything is in chaos (anti-entropy is in shambles as HoV destroyed most of their arsenal), Himeko dons the red Godsbane battlesuit to try to match HoV but it uses too much Honkai energy, Himeko is slowly getting poisoned, the vial purges Honkai poisoning and was given to Himeko by Einstein (I think? It's been a while) so she could administer it to herself after the mission, but during the fight to defeat HoV she instead chooses to give it to Kiana to save her life (maybe also as a desperation move?), so after the battle she was incapacitated, but because HoV's power waned the void dimension collapsed with her inside.

Late on commenting but, the full context of this that makes this video even sadder than it is. Years back when Kiana just started in Saint Freya High as a Valkyrie, this was the conversation between Himeko and Kiana (para-phrased): Himeko: "Kiana, there is something that you need to do as a valkyrie." Kiana: "Fight the honkai and save the world? I know that!" Himeko: "No, there's more to it. FIghting the honkai is part of our mission, however..." Kiana: "Auntie Himeko?" Himeko: "We valkyries use the power of honkai to fight honkai, but what happens when we lose control of that power? We will suffer in pain fighting the honkai within us, and afterwards turn into one of them and destroy humanity. When that happens, never hesitate to kill the valkyries who are infected, even if it is your close friends or family. One hesitation and you might be next." Kiana: "That will never happen! Auntie Himeko is strong, and I am strong!" Himeko: "What if..?" Kiana: "...Then, if you become part of honkai, what will you want me to do, Auntie Himeko?" Himeko: "Kill me, before I destroy humanity." Kiana: "No! I will not let that happen! I will protect the ones around me!" In short, Himeko told Kiana not to hesitate to kill when someone turns into a Herrscher or loses control of their powers. Yet, she did not do that in this clip. Himeko believes in Kiana that only Kiana can change the world. In truth, even Fu Hua said the same thing, that Himeko believes in Kiana. After this battle, Kiana was driven into isolation away from her friends and fought the honkai alone. Again, she loses control of the herrscher powers she have and just then, Kiana's memory of Himeko and what Himeko would do brought Kiana back to reality and she finally gain full control of the herrscher powers with the help of Fu Hua. Sorry if it is long, but yes, this part of the story made the animated clip "Final Lesson" to be more emotional for me...

The blue fluid is a serum given to her by Dr Tesla. This is because Himeko has no natural affinity with Honkai energy, and thus those lines on her face/body in the battle is a sign of the corruption to the body (The red battlesuit she wore is powered by a Herrscher Core). The serum was meant for her to resist the symptoms, but she chose to use it on Kiana to suppress Sirin (Herrscher of the Void) inside her, hence her reaction after the injection. Because Himeko has been thoroughly poisoned by the Honkai energy upon the landing blow, her body looks lifeless and discoloured as she succumbs. Thus, "Final Lesson"

I feel like these reactions are very late. So many of us felt this hurt long ago. I feel like the Genshin players are seeing what masterpiece gave birth to Genshin Impact while the rest of us who are dedicated to Honkai Impact watch everyone else finally get on board lol. Chapter 21 FuHua mentioned Himeko is MIA in quantum sea. Inside quantum sea ppl with superpower like Seele and Kelvin can survive thousands of years without life support. So it's a big chance for Himeko coming back in future

I know I'm super late to this reaction, but I'm pretty sure Himeko's battle suit in this uses the user's vitality - lifeforce as fuel for incredible amounts of power. Himeko - lore wise - is probably that "strongest fighter" character archetype for Honkai Impact. But as Herrscher of Void (basically a deity/god) that cause global destruction on a scale that caused humanity to retreat into techno-fortress cities - possesses Kiana.... The only real way Himeko can fight on equal with this God Kiana is to sacrifice her lifeforce as power. When you play through it you realise that you're burning Himeko's life energy (in lore, not in the gameplay) every second you're fighting. So that moment she burns through Kiana's attacks and the flames crack the suit and shoot out of her back as wings of flame, and as the music rises to a cresendo, then proceeds to overpower a literal god to save Kiana - hits incredibly, incredibly hard. Himeko was an incredibly powerful Valkyrie, but not a herrscher. She is the unofficial Herrscher of Flames, as I've seen other fans call her so. And I myself have never even played Honkai Impact. Though I have been a MiHoYo fan since the very first Honkai Impact animation released here on KZbin years ago... Since that, I have only watched numerous playthroughs over the years (never having a mobile that could run it) and researched the story through Wiki's and forums. But I'd still consider myself a big fan of Honkai impact... When Genshin was announced I've followed that and can finally play a MiHoYo game and support the company that I, personally want to see more and more stories come out of. MiHoYo are irl Gods of animation, storytelling, creativity... Real world Herrschers of Art. They deserve much more recognition and money than they get already. especially since they craft these deep, intricate and emotional games that are better than 70% of all other media. Not many other companies can give you this kind of quality in even anime, film, gaming industries. We need more of this kind of entertainment. It really is true - Tech Otakus Save the World.

Himeko Murata the best woman in this game and she is so mature. I really love her character so much. I hope we will see her one day again... As we know she didn't die, but she is just missing in action. There is a chance she is Pyro Archon in Genshin Impact game because prologue manga of Genshin Impact said something about her. "Murata, also known as the God of War and the Lady of Fire." Remember that Himeko while fightning HoV was in other location because she teleported her, when HoV started to going crazy because of that thing Himeko injected her, the background started to change for more bright and sunny which mostly Genshin Impact world is. Maybe she fall down to Genshin Impact world after that fight didn't know how to turn back?

MiHoYo haven't said anything about Himeko. Nor if she is alive nor if she is dead, and many, including me, are hoping she is still alive. I wanna think she is alive and she will be back as the first Valk of the new type, the one which rivals the Quanta type. Is only my guess and my last hope for her :'). By the way, nice reaction. Losing Himeko in the Sea of Quanta has an upside - being trapped in there isn't exactly a death sentence. Steele was lost in there and so was Bronya while looking for her and both were reunited in the end. Welt was also there, who gave Bronya her Herrscher powers. It is my belief that Himeko isn't really dead but that she will come out as Herrscher of Flames in the end. After all, the Previous Era Himeko was also a Herrscher and we know this through Fu Hua. I'm so rooting for Himeko because she is my favorite Valkyrie 🤧

May be himeko will come back but in genshin impact, as the archon of fire with surname "murata" As someone had guess before, genshin may be the continuation of honkai but its on other star as u can see the sibings (protagonists of genshin) are likely to be the 'project ark' (from honkai impact in manga) that was created to find new habitat (new star) for mankind to live while they travel to teyvat and met with the unknown god (may be kiana/K-423 that dissappear in post honkai odyssey having already loss her body to sirin or may be the original kiana that became herrscher of the end and somehow end up staying in teyvat) The siblings fought with the unknown god, the one we choose will be sealed and wake up around 500 years later may be, i'm not sure. BUT the other sibling may be possed/awakened by the will of 'project ark' resulting in personality change (there may be this scene in the game but its too short and cant really prove it) and end up being the antagonist with the MISSION to capture this planet (teyvat) as the new habitat for mankind from earth The proof of this theory is from the unknown god when she said 'the arrogation of mankind (i think its project ark) end here' to the siblings Another proof is that there's scene of otto watching the image of dvalin (storm terror in genshin). It mean honkai world&genshin world are somehow relate and may prove that aether&lumine were sent out and by chance (i think its intentional) come to teyvat from honkai world Sorry for my bad english, its just a theory so dont believe it too much and please wait for the update in game to confirm it (within 3 years as mihoyo told that honkai impact story will reach the ending)

And for someone who want to know why there are 2 kiana in my comment above Kiana kaslana / K-423 : our main protagonist of honkai impact 3 is the 'clone' of the real/original kiana kaslana created by otto with Kiana's DNA, core of herrscher of void and sirin's DNA which keep failing until the 423th clone success but it divide sirin apart from herrscher of void Sirin's memory was erased by otto, resulting in sirin's consciousness become kiana's and leaving the herrscher of void's consciousness in deep sleep (it will be awakened by otto's plan in game story to took control of kiana body) So in conclusion : kiana in the game is sirin (2nd herrscher with the core of herrscher of void in her body) not the real/original kiana

@@voiddrifter4132 i'm not sure about other archons but according to the theory Himeko may not die but stay alive somehow in quantum sea and somehow arrive at teyvat in half-death state and the core in her suit somehow has reaction to the fire element or some law which can miraculously heal her or change the honkai energy/virus in her body into the type that fit the law of energy in teyvat and all of this somehow made himeko not die and may be survived with her new power in teyvat If she really is himeko then it can also be guess why is unknown god (may be kiana) appear in teyvat, is she here to stop otto's plan (project ark/aether&lumine) or come here to find himeko or may be both BUT i think of another theory : himeko somehow arrive at teyvat and saved by fire archon, after himeko lived and may has some children? in that world. Himeko die and the fire archon take himeko's surname & himeko's appearance as her form (venti also use 'friend' appearance too) and then named himeko's descendants as 'muratan' Anyway its just some theory and all of these may be just nonsense and not true at all But its fun to take time thinking and guessing about how mihoyo will make the story going in the future Just need to prepare and train your HEART & LIVER to stay alive and not be broken because its always getting darker as the story goes Honkai already gone dark and i'm waiting for Genshin...TO BE CONTINUE >3

Worst thing in all those "reaction things" is that people who makes them lacks in basic knowledge and they comment thing "live". Himeko battle suit give great power but also puts enormous strain on body, you could say it burns life force for power burst as you see in movie.
