Fun fact about the English dub, Oda also chose the English voice actors for the straw hats for the anime so that’s twice Oda himself chose the cast. The live action cast and the English dub

Yu Yu Hakusho, cowboy bebop, fma, samurai champloo. These are the goated English dubs that are basically universally superior to their Japanese versions. Yu yu Hakusho in particular, justin cook voiced yusuke so well that he's basically the definitive version of the character now.

I don't hate dubs. I grew up with dubs, and prefer dub versions of certain anime. One Piece is not one of them. I can not stand Luffy's voice the most, and that is a deal breaker. That dub, imo, is terrible.
