Wow, I really felt this video. How disappointing in the way Maxon handled this, but at the same time, Godlyke has handled this with grace. Their response has been impressive, and they've earned my respect. I think I told Kevin I'm looking to Godlyke's DTC business as my first stop in pedals after this experience. People notice these sorts of responses, and Godlyke has a bright future. i hope Maxon gets their house in order, and in the meantime, I can't wait to see what Godlyke does next. Also, would love to see nostalgic designs on the TWA pedals harking back to the old TWA airlines!

On the upside, those TWA pedals look pretty sweet. The Dynamorph, the Little Dipper, and the Wahxidizer all look amazing. I love my Catalinbread-mod OD808. I always felt you guys always handle quality stuff, and I'm sure that will continue so what ever you do in the future I'm sure will remain top-notch.

The TWA Hot Sake is incredible. It can go from mid-forward warm breakup overdrive to mid-scooped And Justice For All tones. Great into a clean power amp and great into an overdriven amp too.

@@loulasher I hope you enjoy it. I really love it. Having both a tone control and a mids control and all that volume and all that gain on tap you can really get a host of sounds out of it. The low boost switch I haven't used much but I use humbuckers for the most part and could see it being very useful should you prefer single coils.

I worked for a company that had reliance on another company for about 60% of revenues. When the relationship soured and end it almost put them out of business. They learned a lesson to not trust that much of your income from a single source.

I got a killer deal on a Maxon OD9+ from your scratch & dent selection. And though it's by far the best tubescreamer i've tried, I got the TWA Hot Sake from scratch & dent as well and it TOTALLY dunks on the OD9+ and most of my overdrives, distortions, and preamps. I have several Rats, Distortion +, Blackstone MosFET overdrive, 5150 preamps, vintage...contemporary...a lot. So I'm not here to dump on Maxon - they're great pedals - but the Hot Sake is where it's at. Godlyke is fantastic and I'll be watching your products like a hawk.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I bought your Apex 808 and the Tamura 808 from you, and they're world class units. What you did with the Maxon C/S was really inspired, the projects and collaborations really worked. I don't know what more you could have done. You're dealing with this situation with respect and dignity, which is a credit to you. The manner in which Maxon has acted is really poor. There's a multitude of builders who would love to have you guys batting for them. I know that you'll regroup, draw a line under Maxon, and keep moving forward in the dynamic way that you have been. That really sucks ...you know I probably wouldn't have bought the sd9 Pro Plus super tube if it wasn't for your video interviews with artists that we using it. That pedal is absolutely amazing... there was not a whole lot of videos out there besides yours that showed what it was capable of.

Wow, that's sad. At least they could have been up front about it. Why do people in business think of honor and integrity as a weakness? I'm not a Maxon fan but I use your stuff and will continue. Hopefully you can launch some new pedal lines, types you haven't gotten into, at various price points of your own with your own designers. I will surely buy some, because you're a good company. I hadn’t realized this happened until today. That absolutely sucks. I’m glad I got my hands on an OD-9 a few years ago before all this happened. However, I’m not sure I want to continue to support a company that conducts business this way. Complete radio silence for months and then they come at you with this? That’s gotta be one of the shadiest things I’ve heard in a while. Please tell me there is some legal recourse for this; Godlyke got f**ked on this one.

Feel for you guys, it's sad when a company such as Maxon acts this way. I'm 99.99 percent sure they did it for a better money deal from another distributor. They will find it's better to reduce profit slightly and partner with someone who cares about their products rather then a cut rate deal. They will find they also get cut rate service for their products. Maybe after a few years of crappy service with their new distributor they will ask to come back. Smart on how you handled the situation especially when working with Japanese to allow them to "save face" for a possible return.

The only way to "show" some companies that this kind of thing not only reflects badly on them, but also will cause a severe reduction in orders from customers, is to STOP BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS. Yeah, it's amazing that he can actually plug their company still?...but in light of their actions regarding Godlyke?....its a pretty safe bet that Maxon will most likely die off, while Godlyke will continue to thrive, Don't sweat this bro, the entire "stringed instrument" community?...will support you and hold you up. Just found out about this. So sorry to hear that. Digging the web after saw some used MAXON OD808 price drop on used market and nobody really interested to it now. People are chasing after tube screamer mods and variations right now. The original MAXON pedals is a turn off now. You guys lifted their name and this is how they repay for your hard work?. This is cruel. I stop being a MAXON fan now!.
